Matt Read cant put weight on his left knee which is badly swollen. Took a shot off the knee from McIlrath at the very end

Then I'm not sure how you can say this might be the worse team in 49 years..

They aren't good
They aren't playoff team
They aren't one if the worst let alone the worst ever

- opeth_pa

they're not good enough for the playoffs they're not bad enough to be the worst in the league that makes it one of the worst seasons to watch

Not a playoff team yet so it's good to get clarity on that. I agree with others that you deal any piece not considered part of the future. Future is bright with the improved farm and an extra 2,3,6 this year(albeit late 2 and 3). 2 extra 3rd rounders in 2017 already. Stay the course Hexy. Oh and improved cap space as well.

I can see provy up next year. Not sure about konecny.
- Hextall271

Provorov is a lock. I think we all need to remember this kid was a #7 pick, that could've easily gone top 5, with a matured body frame.

Flyers get anything of value for either Gagner of Medvedev? Not sure other parts moveable for value at deadline.

MacDonald was -2 with no hits, at least Manning had 5 hits against Buffalo, might as well have left him in. If McDonald was Phantoms best D , Morin has a ways to go before coming up and ruining any confidence he has. . Other than Ghost you can trade any number of them and wouldn't really notice a difference.

That would be in the category of "17 players attempted hockey, and some of them failed miserably."

he still needs to ice a competitive team
- vejim

prior to this past summer this roster included Pronger, AMAC, Vinny and RJ (Yes his own doing) to name a few so it goes to figure it was/is going to take time to rid himself of contracts. he has done a fantastic job ridding the Flyers of Pronger's contract and Vinny. the talk of patience has lasted a half season. Hextall is doing the right thing IMHO

Hextall is killing it IMO. Umberger and Hartnell's play make the deal look terrible, but Hexy probably knew this wasn't a playoff team for several years. Could he have gotten more value, maybe with Hartnell's long term.

It's pretty bad... The early 90's teams were right there too.

Neuvy is going to be the cash cow. Streit not likely going anywhere how he's been struggling, and frankly this rumor that the cap could drop by 4 million makes it really hard to move him.

I could see this:
Neuvy for a 2nd and 3rd or 4th
Gudas for a 2nd or 3rd
Ganger for a 4th
Medvedev for a 4th.
Schultz for a 6th.

I feel bad for the top line because they'll take the brunt of the criticism when the team doesn't score, but they play too many minutes. They got a nice break during the Buffalo game, but Giroux has been routinely around 22-26 minutes per game for a month now. They are all but out of the playoff hunt. Hak needs to pull back a bit.

Its only going to get worse with the amount of games they have coming up.

Nice. Hexy could get back into the first rd again with some of those picks like he did last year for K.

Whatever, Read blows. Don't know how a guy's game can completely fall off the face of the Earth. Another guy I'd move if there is a team dumb enough to take him.

So Gagner and Medvedev would bring a couple of 4ths. If Gudas brings a mid 2 then go for it.
