Ppl bring up how, it's rushing them and whatever, but really i think this fan base is beaten into apathy, so expectations are in the basement. I'm a big believer in learning by experience. There's no reason a guy like Morin can't be brought up by next season. If it were up to me I'd see what he can do now. There's no hockey god that will be shamed if a prospect comes up to play. Hell we have couturier and ghost up here now. Don't hear anyone crying to semd them down. - JoeRussomanno
I agree with you in general, but sometimes guys do get rushed and it hurts them. The jump from junior to the NHL can be crazy hard. It can be a tough call. If it looks like they can handle it, bring them up and let them learn.

Sucks it's the last time they play them this year. No more fireworks or revenge - funmaster18
They're basically the new Penguins. They do all kinds of dirty poop then complain when anyone retaliates |

I just hope they can take a step forward next year. I'm gonna lose it if we remain in mediocre limbo |

Such a cheap play at the end. Not sure who it was but a Ranger wound up and fired a slap shot right at Read
Edit: McIlrath did it and Read is having trouble getting off the ice - PhillySportsGuy
Morin is going to destroy McIlrath when he gets here. |

Might have to sit through one more bad year. I know the Rangers are missing Nash and McDonagh, but not having Couturier and MDZ just kills the Flyers because the drop-off from those guys is yuuuuuuuge.
With those two, it's a totally different game |

Fitting then this is likely to be the first time since early 90s that they miss the playoffs 2 seasons in a row - funmaster18
The 2006-07 group was, if not the number 1 worst team, they were 1a. |

I haven't heard much on the Sanheim front. Only that he's currently hurt. Morin can take Gudas' role of the physical player. Shultz can go. Trade Streit. Manning there for depth but really whatever about him. Can't see Medvedev being back but I can live with it if he is. - Pelle31Forever
Couldn't be that hurt....after someone said he was hurt....he took a penalty... |

I accept the fact that it will be another tough year, but if it includes some more prospects, at least I can say they are moving forward. Would be great to see konecny and provorov |

True, but by spring it was almost a different team with some hope. Hopefully hextall can shake things up a bit this deadline |

Well, the one positive we see is that we truly are getting a picture of how valuable cooter is to the team. Without him, were simply not able to compete vs decent NHL clubs. |

Hexy has a few more contracts to unload before that happens but he's on the right path. The loss tonight puts us one step closer to being sellers at the TDL. |

Don't worry. Couturier and MDZ will return just in time to carry us from the 6th pick to the 13th pick |

As badly as they played, they were still in the game with 10 minutes left.
Jake, unfortunately, came up a bit small. With only one legit line on this team, we couldn't afford to have any of them not bring their "A" game tonight. |

It's pretty bad... The early 90's teams were right there too. - JoeRussomanno
This team, as bad as it is, would smoke that early 90s team. Before Desjardins showed up, the entire defense corps was Brandon Manning-level.

I feel bad for the top line because they'll take the brunt of the criticism when the team doesn't score, but they play too many minutes. They got a nice break during the Buffalo game, but Giroux has been routinely around 22-26 minutes per game for a month now. They are all but out of the playoff hunt. Hak needs to pull back a bit. |

If Andrew MacDonald never takes another shift in the NHL, I would be:
Then again, maybe the NHL will have an expansion draft, and the Las Vegas Bandits will grab him to get to the cap floor. Come on, Bettman, do something useful for once. |

Then I'm not sure how you can say this might be the worse team in 49 years..
They aren't good
They aren't playoff team
They aren't one if the worst let alone the worst ever |
