It's ridiculous to say it ain't over.
We're 9 back and they have 2 in hand. And like 6 or 7 teams we gotta leapfrog.
Forget playoffs, just getting out of the bottom 5 in the league is gonna be extremely tough - HB77
Weve got something like 27 games left and 11 are away, 14 are at home. Seeing our home record, I think 9 wins is manageable at home. Maybe 4 on the road. Thatd give us 35 wins which is at least a step back in the right direction. More than that would be cool though. |

Doing bettr than I thought but I believe hes being sheltered pretty hard with Little and Lowry taking the tougher minutes. Nuge represents extra value at forward that they may find valuable. Im not saying its guaranteed, but Ive heard they want to be better at C and theyre open to offers on Trouba. - MaximumBone
I personally don't watch a ton of Winnipeg so I don't really know much of Trouba, but from what I've seen, he's pretty smooth skating and he's pretty damn smart. You know I'm poopty at valuing players, but if a opportunity arises where we can get Trouba and it includes Nuge going the other way, I'd take it. No place for nuge anymore. |

For sure it is
At this point, We get out of the bottom 5 and I'll take it quite happily. Regardless of measureable points. Just get out of bottom feeder territory |

Here's some prospect defenesemen.
Simpson: 1 goal, 8 points in 32 GP (AHL)
Musil: 3 goals, 9 points in 42 GP (AHL)
Oesterle: 2 goals, 19 points in 35 GP (AHL)
Bear: 12 goals, 51 points in 54 GP (CHL)
Jones: 8 goals, 42 points in 54 GP (CHL)
Lagesson: 2 goals, 6 points in 20 GP (NCAA)
Paigin: 9 goals, 26 points in 35 GP (KHL)
Looking at the stats (can't watch these games) I think our top 3 D-man prospects that aren't talked about a lot are Ethan Bear, Caleb Jones and Ziyat Paigin.
Bear shoots right and putting up very good numbers for a defenseman
Paigin is playing with men and still putting up very soild numbers and 2 years ago the Kazan Ak-Bars (wow) were the runner up for the championship.
Jones is related to Seth. Nough said.

I know he has a touch of the downs, but why the hell was he sitting on a screen cap of the standings in December just to post it now? |

What do oil fans think of trouba for RNH? I'm a jets fan and I find it interesting but would be scared with sheif and RNH a little as both get hurt but upside could be great. I'm not adding anything on our end in my opinion. I also think if you guys win the draft lottery maybe trouba plus petan or burmistrov or josh Morrisey and our first! Thoughts? |

No to Trouba for RNH. If he wants Byfuglien money, he can go fist himself. He is not a 1st pairing defender yet. He might be someday but he isn't currently. Petan can (frank) right off. I'd rather have Lemieux. Burmistrov is meh. |
