I wonder what it would take to land Pearson from LA. Constantly being healthy scratched. Hasn't been able to come back in the line up for a while. Has had big success with Vey in the A.... - Codes1087

Well I work away a lot and it is tough but they always know that when I am home I am home. I think its tougher on me than it is on them as they have their routine with school and mom. Being a Dad is awesome. The first child is always tough because its all new and you think you don't know what you're doing but trust yourselves because you'll be fine. #2 is easy. - thundachunk

care to elaborate as to why? Does he not fit the bill? Established winger under 25, over 6 feet, has playoff experience and a cup. |

I really don't want Drouin.
Theodore has the potential to be a top pairing D-man but we have had such a small sample size of each Shinkaruk and Theodore to make a good judgement call on doing such a trade. I would love to let Shinkaruk develop more and see what we have. Great signs early on! - Codes1087
I would package Shink for Theodore any day of the week given this team's lack of a D prospect with "top pairing" potential |

Doesn't always transfer to the NHL, however. |

Don't kid yourself. They have building blocks of JVR Kadri Reilly Komorov Gardiner. They have about 3-4 decent Prospects . They will probably draft Laine or Mathews plus hey have Pitts first to draft a solid D guy.
If they do pick up Stamkos and a quality Dman we won't be laughing at them much longer.
They have 11 draft picks this year - VANTEL
And apparently a Russian bloke called Zaitsev. Morning all.

I pearsonlly think he is a borderline NHLer right now. |

I would also say he benefited from the style of play and lineup that LA has and Vancouver doesnt have the same for him. Not a bad player, just not someone I'd be willing to give up a lot to get at this point |

100% agree. We are clearly seeing the chemistry between Vey and Etem that they had in junior but their point totals together in the NHL are a direct reflection of how much faster/harder the game at the Pro level. |

Have any of our posters said they would trade Shinkaruk? - Codes1087
I would trade Shink. He is fairly one dimensional and we have plenty of undersized scoring forwards. He is def. top 6 or bust. If we could swap him for a solid D prospect it would make sense |

It would take less than it took to get Vey. I believe Vey and Toffoli were driving that line in the AHL. Probably a 3rd or 4th round pick but I'm not sure Benning would be interested |

I'm happy for him and glad he is doing well this year but I would also have no issue with him being moved for "the right deal".

Well of course but Shink may be able to land us a D prospect. etem was worth a 5th round pick a few weeks ago and his value probably remains unchanged |

A decent read;
http://thecanuckway.com/2...r-canucks-buyers-sellers/ - Marwood
I believe the article is very accurate. He wants to make moves but likely won't dump UFAs for picks and he certainly won't aquire older players as well. A trade for somebody like Nicushkin would potentially make sense |
