That's a great point. Anyone know the reason behind this? Bylsma didn't sound like he thought Ennis was close to ready and I don't think he's skating yet. What is the rule for IR, does he need to be out for a certain amount of time if he gets that tag?

Also, McCabe on wing, forgot about that

According to TSN.ca he is on IR.

What wing does he play? Wonder if he could play with Reinhart and Kane

Sounds like a good fit then. Though I doubt he'll be handed a spot to stand out.

That'd be a nice line, but are you putting Eichel or O'Reilly at wing? Or is that your "3rd" line?

McGinn-O'Reilly-Deslauries
Foligno-Eichel-Moulson?
Kane-Reinhart-Bailey
Legwand-Schaller-Catenacci

Could work. Would be nice to get him on a line that can do something to start out.

So with the injuries and the losses I'd say it's a great time to call up these kids and see what they got. I say put him on a good line and see what he's learned in the AHL.

According to Baker, Bailey went 10-13-23 in 47 GP in Rochester. Points in 7 of last 8. Met him after the Rochester game in Buffalo. Exciting to see.

All 3 centered their own lines last night, so that's what I was figuring would happen again.

In your lines, swap Deslauriers and Catenacci and it may help (and get a view of the kid with skilled linemates)

Ever since the consecutive AHL ROY wins, I've wanted the team to always have 2 youngsters up from Rochester and on a line together (at the time it was 3, for the 3 winners, but nowadays I understand 3 being tougher)

Thoughts on Mcginn:

If he nets us a 1st round pick-Trade him

If its anything less than a 1st-Try to sign him to a 3 -4 year deal around 4MM top out at 4.25MM

I think if he is traded he will not come back in the offseason. Mainly because I believe if he is traded to a contender and does well, his value will inflate higher than we will want to pay him.

If he is willing to sign at a reasonable number, I would much rather keep him than trade him for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Hes the type of player you would want that 2nd or 3rd round pick to turn into eventually.

But if teams are willing to give up a 1st then im trading him for sure.
