It still doesn't mean it's part a trade, the cap space. How they use that cap space is separate. They could grab any player from any team on waivers up to their cap space and it would be the same. Two completely separate deals.

me too. once I found out they got creamed the game before I knew we were toast. it's a tough year. They took some small steps forward, but they weren't big enough to improve in the standings. It just seems when the top players can't get it going, no one else is able to step up.

I edited my post to sneak in non-1 pick haha. So no, probably not. But McKenzie said of the 7/10 scouts who chose Laine, half of them said Laine has a chance of going 1, even if Matthews is the heavy favorite. They wouldn't be shocked at least. Watching Laine highlights, he's just a force.

Benson is falling by what McKenzie's scouts say, due to injury. He could be a very good player if he sneaks into the late first-early second. Though I'm not sure id call him a sniper...
