So Bill's last tweet indicates Phantoms commentator @BobRotruck was right that LaBarbera was out of town when the Flyers needed to call up a goalie.

Doesn't seem like there was any intention of playing Stolarz unlike Mase got hurt, and yet we had a Flyers beat writer saying last night he thought Mason would be pulled after one period and two goals.

Just think about this:

They chose to waive Ehrhoff over Luke Schenn, even though a team claiming Schenn gives them more cap space to work with at the TDL this year.

- jmatchett383

just think about this we gave luke schenn to the kings if we claim erhoff it turns into schenn vinny for career healthy scratch, pick and erhoff

If Neuvy was in I wouldn't have been shocked to seem him pulled just for a chance of pace. They were getting steamrolled.

If Zac Rinaldo were going in this year's draft, where do y'all think he'd go?

Based on what we know now?

Philly fans love to hate on their goalies and their D

Also think that every player who hits waivers is better than everyone on their team.

Provorov 5S is much better and more consistent than Chychrun.
- Glak18

Yes, but what if you compare last year's draft version as opposed to this year's post-WJC version of Provorov?

And I understand Lappy did well his first season, but I refuse to believe it's not coaching related and mostly personnel. Flyers still have good penalty killers. Maybe they're not a #7 caliber PK personnel unit like under Lappy's first year, but they should still be middle of the pack-ish.

What I see is them receding into the goalie, forming passive unagressive boxes, that allows the opposition to move the puck at will. That's not personnel. Choosing to use VDV and PEB as your top unit over Coots-Read for most of the season is a coaching decision; continually regular shifting White is Lappy's call, while leaving a Raffl or Laughton on the bench.

Okay. What's your point?

And no it doesn't, because they're 2 separate deals. That's like saying we traded Bobrovsky, Leighton, and a 3rd for Mason, a 2nd, and a 4th.

A fit Neuvirth, yes, definitely. A 22 year old with zero NHL experience, no.

At their current rates of play, Ghoul has a better shot than Dove-McFalls does of ever cracking an NHL roster.

I think they both have a shot. But Dove-McFalls missed several months with a bad knee injury that needed surgery. Not sure you should evaluate his game right now, he's only been back a bit.
