Man if only fans could make trades.

I have Edmonton with me on a Foligno and Bogosian swap for Eberle.

Get the fax number, lets send it to the NHL.

Agreed. I figured 70-75 points this year. That being said if we do not hover around 90 points next year. I will start to get concerned.
- ImThatGuy

As long as there is steady improvement year over year, there's no reason to panic. It's if the improvement stagnates that it's a problem.

So far, I think they're right on track. They've had stretches where they look really good and they've had stretches where they've looked pretty bad.

However, they've looked much better overall this year. Much more competitive. I'm enjoying watching the games again (well, maybe not last nights).

Wouldn't put too much into the Oil fans . Don't think they had coffee yet.

Who makes the playoffs first, Sabres or Oilers? Oilers have more talent but also play in the West. Both could try next year.

I think the Oil will make it next year. If they don't, disperse the team throughout the nhl via draft lottery.

I enjoyed last night's game. Weren't giving us the money's worth with the goals so they gave it to us with the fights. And then even scored some goals. Defense has to be better and we can't start the game that flat. Looked like Ron Rolston was our coach the way we came out for that 1st period

Whose spot do they take? LA will make it, Anaheim should be better, San Jose perhaps. Then you have the central which will be tough to overtake for the wild card. Edmonton's best hope is the teams in the Pacific that are either rebuilding or starting to rebuild continue to do so and they can get easy points that way.

Can i get back to you after the trade deadline and FA period on this... because its going to be whoever addresses their needs best this year. Oilers need help on D and something stable in net.

We obviously need help on D, and some help on the wing

Good points . Next season could be throw the teams in a hat and pick 8

Avs would be my guess to miss out . but could be replaced by any other team. Sabres will have the same problem. Seems not as easy to make the playoffs like it was in the past.

How does a guy like Mike Harrington have a job? He is a joke. Terrible opinions and just zero hockey knowledge. I swear if I ever met the guy I'd have a hard time not punching him straight in the bananas

Technically, in that area there is only one Banana. There are however multiple, thus plural Coconuts.

At this rate we're likely going to be looking for a wild card spot. Florida could keep up what they're doing. Tampa is more than Stamkos but if they lose him could still be tough. Detroit doesn't miss the playoffs. Boston is retooling. Montreal needs to address scoring. Then you have Us, Toronto, Ottawa.

Not to mention the Metro division will have some teams trying to get into the wild card spot too. Washington and the Rangers are good, Pittsburgh's put it together. Islanders, Philly(?) and Jersey(?) are their Wild Card candidates.

Not easy.

Hello there people..... Not for nothing but WHAT A FRIGGING DISAPPOINTMENT. I thought the Sabres would at least be 40 points better this season...... This team really does not impress me one bit...

Top 5 players:
Pomminville: 30-43-73
Vanek: 26-35-61
Stafford: 20-30-50
Roy: 17-27-44
Ennis: 15-19-34

Our new toys were Sulzer, Tropp, Foligno, Adam, Leino

Finished 9th with 89 points

Drafted Grigorenko and Girgensons

Be upset if you want, but please, don't try to tell me that you would rather have the 2011-12 Sabres and the future that they had in front of them rather than this. You're already though the worst part, this is just the waiting period.

Sabres have 1 home win since dec17. I do not envy the Sabres season ticket holder.

16 regulation losses at home. Not sure what the issue is with them but it's a thing. Toronto is the only team with less home wins but they are something like 8-8-2 at home.

If they lose them like they did last night I won't be too upset. We have what, 27 games to go the rest of the year? And the trade deadline. And the draft. And the off-season. Compared to last year and the year before I'm flying high. Let's finish the year right and enjoy what we can.

I think they missed the fact that they were playing a game last night, not a scrimmage
