I find it funny that after the DP trade Leafs fans are getting defensive about the tank word getting tossed at them. Yes the Sabres did it last year, and it was pointed out quite excessively by fans of other teams that if I'm remembering correctly went on a massive tank ride come trade deadline (Yotes, Leafs, Oilers)

So why can it suddenly not be pointed out this year?

I am not a stay at home type but it doesnt make me any less curious. Im not saying there is anything wrong with it. If all they were doing there was having bro night and getting (frank)ed up then i am all for it. I love me a good time.

I guess ill never know their personal circumstances, like what time they get off, or if it was just a day off. Or what they make to be sitting VIP rubbin elbows with millionaires. If they are low level police officers maybe the club they were at is trashy and cheap, and they can afford to do that kind of thing. Maybe it was a one time thing for them, and had bad timing. Who knows, to me it seems a little off.

None of that absolves mccoy and his crews dumbasses either. He is a wannabe gangster, (or is he?) who got in a bar brawl over a bottle of champagne. It was probably expensive, but hey it sounds like they woulda jumped these guys for looking at them wrong.

No doubt, they probably had their in with the club in some form.

Interesting that i read an article and there was a third off duty cop there who managed to escape with no injury. Good timing for a bathroom break, or he wanted nothing to do with the shenanigans and slipped into the shadows

This. Pat Kane had a few off duty cops as chaperones when the "incident" happened this summer. They work the doors/security and get the fringe benefits of sitting in the VIP. That huge trial in Buffalo last year where the guy from the National Guard was killed, got pushed down the stairs at a bar, off-duty cops were working security that night too.
