If not mathews or Tkachuk I want Chychrun.
- The_Kuze

If we ended up with matthews. Id say mcann goes to the wing and we sell high on shino for d.

wow.... I don't see that personally. I like Tkachuk's game, but the kid is only 6'0".. his power game might not translate to the NHL. I really like Laine. Kid can skate, has a huge frame, and his shot is one of the better ones I've seen in a while and we all know much JB likes guys that can shoot the puck!

Imio Hansen can be replaced by a solid prospect such as Gaunce or Eten because he is probably a 3rd liner who's overacheiving currently. If you can get a 1st you take it to the bank
- Bieksa#3

As I said a few times Hansen is my favourite, but if a team is offering a first, yes please.

I agree with a comment from Bloated from the last blog. Good veteran leadership doesn't have to come from current vets. It can be bought in through Free Agency.

I can't see how Edler would be a good leader.

I think Burrows is winning his final year of his contract. The third line is a decent third line.

I wasnt interested in dealing him earlier but we are just alot further behind than i thought we were. I think your right about a replacement also when you factor in that your stuck with burrows one more season and dorsett too and that you want to play young guys you sell high on him.

I thought the D core was great last night
1st goal was 100% on Hansen
3rd 100% on Vey.
Doesn't matter how good your D core is, if the forwards are to dumb or kazy to do their job without the puck....

- Bieksa#3

Offense for sure needs to be better aswell. But just because the D looked decent last night dooesnt excuse how shytty they've been all year. One game dont make a difference.

Its time to deal someone and get in some better people on the back end. And The coach needs to realize this isnt Millers team and attempt to split the duties in the crease 50/50.

So many thing WD does just blows my mind.

i honestly assumed marstrom would have been in last night and was shocked when he wasnt. he was playing great hockey and is more than likely going to be here long term so bench him??

although miller improves our austin mathews chances at least

You are right, but the team that they are icing right now is perfect for a top 5 pick. Fix it in the offseason.

If we can get Mathews Puljujarvi or Laine , that is immediate help for the O
If we get Chychrun Sergachev or the Finn it is immediate help for the D.

This is the perfect time for change. All they need is the balls to let go. How much damage can we really do. Does it matter if we fall from fifth worst team to second worst or worst team ?

You have the money to spend and you have the assets to improve like Edler Hanson Hamuis.

If you wanted to get really bold next year you could get a boat load for two guys that look alike.

We are in for lean years, so why not take a chance.

I still think Sutter Horvat Tanev can be a good building block.

That's to remind half the people at the various parties why they are there. I've been to parties where the only time people show any respect to the TV is at halftime.
