OK you've made you point about a 653 times and even though it's been explained to you and I've given you links, you don't care.

You say the same thing every day.

Your argument is literally "I don't agree with all the experts, here is my take." But your take is ridiculous. That'll be the last time you hear from me on it, but you've crossed the line into super-repetitive and I don't think you have to keep repeating yourself.

We get it, you know better than every single stat expert.

Tanner, in your opinion who wins this trade?
Drouin for Gardiner

Now or in two years? Cause the answers are different.

Good post, but as I said earlier, if it is easier to outplay the guys on your team, you also lose out on the boost you get playing with good players.

So sure, while Doughty has to go a ways to seperate himself from his good team, he also gets to play with Kopitar, Muzzin, Lucic, Toffoli etc. Gardiner does not.

It all pretty much balances out.

So in the end, while comparing across teams is difficult, relative corsi gives you a better barometer than just raw numbers.

Yes, like how five pounds of apples balances out with 5 pounds of oranges.

I am not trying to prove you wrong here but just curious....
If you believe that Gardiner is a top 20 right now and at 25yrs old, it would be reasonable to think he is only going to get better, wouldn't that make it a good trade for TB now and in 2yrs from now?

I would think Leaf fans would love to see that trade.

TBL doesn't need LHD. Yzerman has already said he wants a cost-controlled RHD.

Lol I'll "talk about the article " here's what separates professional analysts an scouts from fanboy writers: they would never ever EVER make any kin of statement like this based on one chart. Jake gardiner would absolutely not be able to fill doughtys shoes. Two totally different playing styles. Jake gardiner has speed and can make a pass( like any other top 6 defense can) and I dare you to you to make a chart of his play under any other coach ( babcock is trying to make his team look good on paper that's what the "sellers " do nearing the TD, can't believe I have to tell you that) but anyways you spend half of these articles trying to rationalize these ridiculous claims about all of these unproven players, maybe talk about the players that are actually proven? Everyone has opinions on POTENTIAL Of young players but you may have noticed nobody with any recognition as a "good ". Analyst makes ubsurd claims because they would not have a job. Thanks have a great day

I would honestly like to know if you're serious about these articles or if you're just trying to get 200+ comments on every article? Please just realize the comments don't come from your stellar outlook on the analytics of the game which are thoroughly proven in every article. Hopefully I'm not too offensive for the moderator. You guys have a great site and I'm all for controversial topics (love them) but come on have you even looked at anything this guy has posted? Obviously your audience agrees the guy gets roasted every time! There has to be many more deserving people for this position. If you're going to keep him please for the love of hockey don't let him cover Edmonton

I think a TB Defense of Stralman, Hedman, Gardiner would help them win the Cup = they already have awesome forwards.

But the thing is, in two years, Drouin might a super-star. I really like what he's done so far in his career, but if it wins you a Cup who cares I guess?

What he's done so far in his career? You have to be kidding me? Did you just start watching this sport this year because if you saw drouin in the play offs you wouldn't be saying that( I hope to God anyway? ) . Or are we going to just pretend "science" doesn't exist for this example because it doesn't suit your opinion? You didn't reply to my other post so are you wrong? If not I'd love to see you dig a deeper hole. Unbelievable man I understand not thinking about things before you say them but YOU'RE WRITING YOU SHOULD BE THINKING ABOUT EVERY THING YOU SAY

Take a deep breath dude. Calm..............now look at the stats, Drouin already puts up great rates and relative possession. So, yes, I am fairly confident, when considering what he's done and his talent level, of saying he could be a superstar in the NHL in two or three years.

This

It sounded like the guy was having a meltdown.

End of the day, right or wrong, it's far from ludicrous to suggest that drouin could become a star in the nhl.

Nothing wrong with saying he will be a super star maybe you need to read the post like you preach it's the fact that you're flaunting stats around and drouin can't put up points, saying you're happy with what h accomplished is another of about 1000 examples of your biased statements just like Edmonton being the best team in the nhl, you call everyone else ridiculous and you are the one speaking nothing but ignorance. Drouin can possess the puck all he wants but if he can't put up points what good is he? You just preached points from the defensive point of view but you're happy with what he accomplished as a super star on a super star team?

Oilers Fan boy to the rescue Of who? Tanner?
Since when?
The oiler posters are some of the harshest and most obtuse on these boards. And tanner isnt immune to it by any stretch.
You have no idea what you're talking about.

Reading posts on tanners thread? I've been battling with him when you were still taking sh1ts and wiping them on your face. .....(point break reference for ya there. Great old school movie!)

Point is; relax, and take some deep breaths. When you go crazy and come off as irrational, not only do you embarrass yourself with silly posts like you wrote. But any point you've tried to make just gets lost. You'll learn this some day I'm sure.

"OMG tanner you're so stupid!! You're so wrong!! Ahh! Drouin is the worst!! He'll never be good!!! You're so stupid!! I'm freaking out!!"

Are u suggesting that there's no chance drouin "could" ever be a star in this league?.......................
Exactly.
Of course it's possible. Maybe even likely. Isn't that all tanner said?

or is it the evidence he uses that you don't like?

I don't disagree that some of it is certainly debateable, but would you prefer if he just stated his reasoning as, "because I said so"....?
