If we resign Mcginn I don't want in for more than two years. Fasching, Bailey, Baptiste, and whoever we draft this year will be ready and I don't want him taking up a roster spot
- Smittyx36

McGinn will want 5 years. Its his last cash in. he is not taking a 2 year deal.

Matthew Coller had an intriguing trade proposal. McGinn for Brandon Pirri from FLA.

How goes it this morning BHH?

I'm starting to get frustrated with some of Bylsma's decisions.

I am sick of bad caching in buffalo. Ruff now bylsma. How they hell is Gionta playing 19 min a game,Eichel 17 ,reinhart 16 and girgensons 13. Gionta,Oreilly and to some extent kane are not natural goal scorers. Why the heck are they in the shootout all the time.

Lindy is a bad coach?

I was as well. Obviously we don't know what goes on in practice. Usually teams do practice the shootout to a point, so maybe the guys he had out there are the ones the perform better at it during practice. If that's the case, we have a problem because we've looked terrible in the SO this year.

I know that's what he wants. I'm saying if we sign him for any more than 2 years it will be a mistake. Unless we get him on the cheap which I highly doubt.

That is intriguing. I'd do it for a guy like that. I don't need a pick l. A young player is even better. Id even add in a draft pick to get a young player that is on the outs with his team

Hey Dan, "We got these 3 great young scorers in Eichel, Reinhart and Girgensons to choose from in the shootout which one do you want to shoot?"

"Gionta"

"I'm sorry what, did you say Gionta?"

That's how the conversation went with Dan and his asst coach in my head.

Yea when they interviewed Gionta after the game, Brian Duff and Brad May asked Gionta why Bylsma makes the choices he does for the shootouts?

Brian's answer was that some of it is what they do in practice when it comes to breakaway's in practice. So I am to assume that Brian must do well in practice with breakaway's.
Then in Bylsma's presser shortly after, Dan did say he chose Kane because of the game he had.
O'Reilly I have no idea why he was the 3rd shooter.

Sounds about right. Kane did have a pretty nice game last night. He seemed to be everywhere and had a lot of jump in his step, especially considering they played the night before. He was a total pest from the beginning of the game through the end.

I know. Could you imagine what his stats would look like if he finished even 50% more of the opportunities he's gotten this year?

Good luck.
Just got done watching the O.J Simpson specials that were on.
Still can't believe that dude was found not guilty in the criminal trial.
It was said that he did not take his arthritis medication for a month and one half prior to trying those gloves on in court, I never learned that till last night while watching the specials.
Sneaky SOB's.

The concept of "rewarding" a player a shootout attempt because of a good game he played irritates me to no end. Love it or hate it, the shootout is now an important aspect of the game. Send out the players who are best at it, just like the power play and the penalty kill. And it's not just Bylsma that does it. Most coaches seem to.
