I believe their scoring is MUCH better with Price in net
Are they playing more defensively & taking less offensive chances to compensate for having their backup in net?
Haven't watched them closely, but at first glance that would be my guess

I think the entire team just lacks confidence right now. They don't have confidence individually, or as a team. They don't trust one another, and a big part of that I think is the fact that Price has been out so long.

First, thank you for being one of few that realize a lot is 2 words.
Sorry that one just always gets to me.

Second, Therrien speaks French Canadian which if I recall was a big thing when they hired him, or they made a big thing of it.
While saying that, that only goes so far.

You do realize that the Sabres also scored in bunches when Hasek was in net correct? Scored 6-7 quite a few times in the 98-99

You said 2-1 Hasek games.
I'll re-quote you if you'd like?

And that's probably true but that's on the coach and the leaders in the locker room to take care of. 5-20-1 in their last 26 says that no one in that locker room has been able to grab this team and shake them out of it. I get your number 1 goalie was out. But he can't be everything. If they lost the goalie they should have let it hang out and tried to win higher scoring games.

Sabres scored in bunches at times when Haske played
Sabres generally relied on Hasek to win them games.

Canadians scored in bunches at times this year.
Canadians generally rely on price to win them games.

Price goes down and their record is garbage. Coincidence?

Any fantasy player can attest that Montreal was scoring in droves in the first month of the season. It wasn't a few games of an anomaly. As usual HardHat is right, and the others are making their own reality.

They omitted the part where he said "and we've been there too, where things seem to not go your way all the time." It's less of a diss, more of an observation like someone said. Right now everything is going wrong for the Canadiens.

yeah, read that about 5 mins after my post. Just didn't feel like editing. It's empathy. Whatevs

This is exactly what I was getting at and why I think it's crazy that Therrien still has a job. I get giving the players some time to try and work it out, but at this point, the coach is failing them big time as well. Time for a change, IMO.

Brendan Gallagher was awesome for me.

Maybe now's a good time to lowball for patches.

Price won me many fantasy points. Since he has been out, 4 guys have had him in their line ups . Maybe they think he is good enough to get points while being out.
