Here is what I think about Schenn:

He is a good second line RW for the Flyers. Also can play well on the PP. If they resigned him after this season I would be fine with it as long as it's not something more then Couturier. I would also be fine if they moved him and got back young talent in return.

He is playing well right now and I think we found a nice complement to each other in Couturier and Schenn.

Hextall will do what's right for the team in short and long term regarding schenn.

- J35Bacher

Agreed. And just because people mention he's only worth half the money or half the term as a Jake doesn't mean we believe he's half the player, or we think he's only going to pot half the points.

The landscape is such that you have to pay a premium to the very best players in the league, the jakes, the G's, etc. With the schenns of the league their going to get squeezed on their contracts because their not unique players.

I gotta admit: Josh Innes having "The Cuz" on his show last Friday had me rolling.

You gotta be ready for surprises like this if you expect to be a factor in this year's Wing Bowl.

It's not for me. Call me crazy, but I keep boobs and wings in separate categories.

And not every player played their usual standard. I recall it being a strange season. It worked out for Voracek but I'm not gonna number crunch. It wasn't the usual 82 schedule where fatigue could set in and become a factor. I happen to believe a lot of players could realistically have been out of shape.
- SuperSchennBros

I just think it is funny that you illegitimize the stats Voracek put up is because professional athletes are supposedly out of shape

There are still unknowns about the deal, and how Hartnell plays in future years. I'm still okay with the deal.
- MJL

i still like this deal too, but i cant explain for the life of me why some fans still call it a bust. of course, if this was strictly a trade for talent, then of course, we got fleeced. there was one reason and one reason only for this trade, cap space. umbergers hit comes off the books this year as obviously u already know, but hartnell would still be on the books until 2018! this was a strictly numbers related move, and being that hartnell wasnt a player that could just throw us on his shoulders and singlehandedly win us a stanley cup, it didnt really matter that we gave up talent for a bum (sorry, but thats just my opinion, i know it isnt yours fully).

i just still dont get how even after two years people think this was about actually wanting RJ. it was wanting two less years of a contract in essence.

Couple thoughts from last night. It was great to have Couts back. Loved Simmonds tearing it up against MTL with all the rumors to him being traded there. For the first time in a while, I'm really like B Schenn he's been playing really well last couple weeks imo. Gudas hit after seeing in slow mo, almost seems Lessio tried to pump the breaks and in doing so, exposed his left leg to stick out for the contact, having said bat Gudas was low. Too low.

I know it's a struggling Habs team, but if our team continues to pick it up and end up landing a pick outside top 10, who would be in favor of trading our first with Streit with retained salary + pick or prospect to move up in the draft? Realistically, what would it take to move top 5 or 3rd overall?

- arichardson22

the thing is we can no longer retain salary, we have already hit the cap with the previous trade, so any other trade from here on out has to be done straight up. until next year that is when the retained salaries from hopefully Lecavalier (pray he retires) and schenn come off the books

Laughton is a confounding player. I expected a player that was going to be sound, chippy at times, come in and be a glue guy while potting some points. He has great speed that he doesn't use near enough, he doesn't seem to work hard enough shift in and shift out. Just totally not playing to the strengths he was hyped to bring. Strange
