Jerzees is better than what it was before, that place was a staph infection.
- twotoekenn

Yeah, it was some kinda beef and beer place for years. Never ate a damn thing from there. I ate at J&J far too many times. I'm surprised the grease in that place didn't rise up and destroy the town.

I used to live in rockledge and frequent the three bars there and the rockledge tavern was similar. They had a bullet hole in the door and never fixed it because they thought it made the place look tough.

I used to stop there on the way to Flyers games after work. Religiously... sixer and a sandwich.

Is he better than Nick Schultz? Because he's played 1000+ games which means he's currently a great defenseman.

Ambler has reinvented itself for sure, the main drag is happening.
We looked at homes there before ending up in Glenside
I play at the Lucky Well a few times a year, they bring in a lot of blues oriented bands. That place does well on Saturdays, a little pricey some people say

- Steelmanpa

I hit Guiseppe's Bar after work. I stay away from the main drag because you know... old.

But he's played over 1000 games. So he's really good. You don't play 1000 games if you're not.

McDavid would have scored 2 goals on that play.

If Bill's around, I was wondering if anyone had asked Hextall recently what the point of keeping Laughton on the team is if he's going to get such limited ice time. He's been under 10 minutes for the last seven games, and barely played last night after getting out of position on Montreal's 2nd goal.

If Voracek is worth 8 years at $8.25m and I think he is, I'm not going to get antsy about giving BSchenn something like 4 years at $4.1m.
- Feanor

Even at half the pay, I'm not confident that BSchenn will provide the kind of value/dollar that Jake will on his deal. That extra dough going in Jake's pocket goes toward all that possession-driving and making-teammates-better kind of stuff. Schenn's more of a really good sidekick.

This is coming from somebody who actually really likes BSchenn, too.

I think that is false. Not only is he becoming a better passer with the man advantage...but he is often doing the dirty work with simmonds to screen the goalie and retrieve pucks. Might not show up on the score sheet, but it is just as important and is definitely "making-teammates-better" kind of stuff

At least baseball has the battle of pitching team vs batter, golf has golfer vs gofer.

It's playing against the field, just like track and field/swimming/skiing/Wing Bowl/etc.

As a new golfer last summer, I'd vote golf is a sport based on the time, dedication, practice, and frustration involved to actually become good. Physical exertion isn't the only factor, mental toughness is huge as well. Once I start getting mad, I know my day is over. If the individuality of it is a knock, then would you not consider track, swimming, field events, etc. sports? You're still competing against other people, even though you and you alone are responsible for your performance.

In order for it to be a sport there must be defense. That is my criteria.

Many people take offense when their particular "athletic competition" or "game" is not deemed a sport (skiing, golf, swimming, etc) and then proceed to argue about its "difficulty" or "skill level" involved....and take the false logical leap that somehow the person is saying it is not as difficult. Difficulty level has nothing to do with it. Nor does the skill required to do it well.

Yes, in certain kinds of racing there is, and they are sports in my eyes. I'm not understanding the comprehension issue.
