Lehner has looked strong. I like his potential and hope with some more real game time, he gets even better. The only thing I notice is that sometimes he hits the deck to make a save, but in doing so loses sight on the puck (his head is often swiveling back and forth like he's lost or he spins around often). other than that, his play looks promising in the small sample size thus far.

I wish Irbe would have stayed to help with his game as well. He made everyone last year look pretty solid in net and would have liked to have seen what he could have done to improve both Lehner and Ullmark's game as well

Lehner has looked good in his rebound control and angles. Where he needs improvement is in his lateral movement - he's not fast enough and without a doubt needs to lose weight and get in better shape. With the concussion and ankle some of this isn't his fault

I think Murray has set it up perfectly, He has Lehner for at least three more years, That gives Peterson time to develop his game at either ND or Rochester, same for Jonas Johansson, play a couple seasons in the Swedish Elite league and then come over to North America. Jason Kasdorf could force his way into the equation if he keeps playing like he is this year. The Sabres might not have to resign Johnson if Ullmark or Kasdorf prove they can be competent backups to Lehner and then when it's time to resign Lehner they could move him if any of the 4 prospects show that they are ready to be the #1 man.

If the instigator rule was gone and he had the balls to drop the hammer on hits from behind and headshots the game could be free and open. There would be less heat on goalie equipment and net size because scoring would naturally increase.

Calling more penalties consistently would help too, but it would make me a hypocrite because i tend to like how the playoffs are played. If they had continued to help the sport evolve coming out of the lockout, players by now would be conditioned not to interfere all over the ice while figuring out new ways to defend.

your metabolism will stay high if you stay active usually when people get older they stop working out get lazy as (frank) and they stop the movement and then their body slows down that's number one reason why people get fat . It's a pretty easy secret
