His last year of junior and when he was drafted he was playing wing. He played centre the year before his draft year.

He put up 27pts in 48 games at 18 years old.

No one was talking about "he should have spent another year in junior" after his first season.

- Pecafan Fan

If they really wanted him to be their center, that is what they should have done.

I was surprised he made the team in his first year.

I am just agreeing with everyone else.
- Mashadar

So you agree that Chuck will never be the touted 1st line center!!!

In my mind he IS our #1 center. Just coaching doesn't seem to want to acknowledge that. Desharnais is like Gretzky to Therrien

So was I... they usually let them rot in the minors until all they know is to play like an AHL grinder.

He's allowed to have his own opinions and I don't think they are that farfetched

Can't believe how Buffalo and Calgary are ruining Reinhart and Bennett playing them on the wing to start their careers!!!!

Ruined! They will never get over this!!!

He's playing 20+ mins now and still has no hockey IQ.

but feel free to dream that he's awesome and Therrien doesn't know how to use him.

The fact is, the Habs need wingers just as much as they need centers... so, I guess, for now, it doesn't really matter if Galchenyuk is at center, or wing.

I think it is a matter of finding a player to match him with... either a winger or center. Put Chuckie and whichever one is open.

Right now they need two centers, a right winger, a number 2 D and a goalie
