Just looked at the standings wtf is going on man this is nasty. Since the 9-0 start montreal has been the worst team in the league. They are now 20th overall and at this pace will finish last. We need carey price to salvage the season. Now don't rush him back either because Id rather miss the playoffs and finish last then to risk ruining his career.
On the bright side there are crazy good lottery picks in the draft this year. Without Price Montreal would get a top 3 easily. What a boost to the prospect pool auston Matthews would be.
Montreal has a really good core with some great contracts. No need for a rebuild. Just retool. I wonder would you get a first round pick for Plekanec at the deadline? Nah I don't think MB has the balls to trade him.
Trade Plekanec, Markov, Weise then DD Eller and Mitchell if anyone wants them. Emelin too.
Draft Matthews, trade for Drouin and try to sign stamkos lol
Imagine Leaf fans if the Habs get stamkos and Matthews this summer lol
