If this was the Kings, the GM would have to look at Horcoff's value on the ice to determine if he wanted to void his contract. Don't act like the classlessness was limited to a player or two. No one got arrested. No one beat their wife and tried to cover it up. Horcoff isn't getting deported. Murray didn't circumvent the salary cap.
When a normal person has an injury like say a back injury, one of the first things an orthopedist will do is prescribe steroids and exercise to speed up the healing process. I'm not sure if that's what happened here. But I do know I have reason to dislike the Kings, and to hate most of the fans who didn't attend games at the Forum. - yzermaneely
Wow... So all fans that were born in the 90s but never saw a game til let's say the early 2000s and on you hate? All teams gain fans at some point during that teams existence, just saying |

I thought that team medical personnel oversee treatment for injuries. So how does this happen? -something fishy here. |

The guy took responsibility for his actions. Players are trying to find things to heal quicker not so much to bulk up although that's sometimes the end results. He sounds like a class guy but maybe Duck fans can speak to that. - arh777
Well he didn't really take responsibility for his actions! He essentially said he didn't know it was banned. As no less than a union rep he knows what substances are banned and at best turned a blind eye. As a pro athlete making huge money you have a responsibility to your organization , should you elect to go outside for medical advice, to say " these are banned substances and I don't want any treatment containing anything with these substances". Horcoff knows better, and at best turned a blind eye, and is now saying "I didn't know"! How is that taking responsibility? |

My point was ... and I don't expect you to be privy to this, that whenever the slightest thing is written about a Kings player, be it substantiated or unsubstantiated, rumor or legal matter (barring the actual issues and occurrences that we all agree are egregious), the ducks fans come onto our blog and blow it up with slanderous attacks of the nature I outlined, so what I said was true and not stupid,
Now go home and get your eff'n shine box.. you stupid, one cup having tampa fan!

Everyone understood your point. The problem is that this couldn't happen to the kings in a vacuum. If a player on the kings tested positive for HGH before the Richards/Carter stuff, before the Stoll arrest, before the Voynov beating, before the Doughty rape allegations, then the response would be exactly what it has been for Horcoff. You are correct that the response would be worse if it were LA, but it's because of all those things kings players have been involved with recently, not because of some skewed view we all have of your team. They did it to themselves with the questionable personnel they've chosen to employ. |

Was Stoll busted with cocaine or XTC? Was it both?
Wasn't Stoll also busted in Vegas coming from a party with other Kings players? Who were the other players? - tredbrta

I could careless what those players do with their money and off time. Those players helped get LA to a championship and that's all I care about... Except for voynov, (frank) that piece of poop

A player can always get they're hands something that aids in healing. Weathers its from a shady dealer at gyms. Or from the teams own trainers. Who knows. All players do this stuff. Some are just better at getting away with it. And honestly. Players shouldn't be allowed to do this sort of thing. |

I would bet vital parts of my anatomy that if there was absolutely zero of the prerequisites you listed, that ducks fans would have reacted exactly the way I outlined it, but that toothpaste is out of the tube so we really can't test the veracity of my assertion. That does not mean that my statement is unsubstantiated though. |

Yeah, I can't imagine being a die hard and waiting 45yrs, it only took me about 17yrs. But it was a painful 17. The highlights for me before the cup was the 3 consective years of 90+pts with Andy Murray at the helm. Along with just going to games at the forum. I thought it was amazing just to get into the playoffs
