I have talked to a few people that don't think that this is a complete beer yet.

It's either a combination of two players like Girgensons and Pysyk, or it is somebody like Reinhart.

no way those 2 or a Reinhart get dealt for Drouin.

Why on earth would any GM trade a highly drafter player, who has decent pts, and is working hard and improving quickly (Reinhart) for another highly drafted player that has done none of those things?...........that will never happen, and especially not now, if anything Drouin's value has decreased to a straight-up Girgensons type player swap.

Again people are way overstating that Drouin has bust value.

Girgensons PPG - .35
Reinhart PPG - .375
Drouin PPG - .45

Reinhart has played almost half as many games as Drouin, and you can't deny that during the past few months, Reinhart has only gotten better (2015 PPG=0.43).......meaning that by the time he hits around 90 NHL games (about as many as Drouin), he should easily have eclipsed Drouin's PPG.

You're also discounting the fact that Drouin has been surrounded by legitimate NHL talent on a team challenging for the cup while earning that PPG while Girgs and Reinhart were on by far the worst team in the league during that same time.

If he was bad at his job, that'd be one thing. But Imagine if you were passed over for promotion in favour of an employee who clearly wasn't performing up to standards considering his pay.

I just don't see any big trades other than selling off the UFA's at the deadline. Ennis can't hold much value at this point being injured and having an off year. I think the bigger question will be what they do with Moulson in the off season.

Thanks Ion. Lots of back pain, got a herniated and bulging disk and working with a chiropractor to get better. I'm of the opinion they should not move McGinn and make every effort to re-sign him. He is such an important part of this team.

The only thing that concerns me with McGinn is his injury history. Chronic back problems aren't good. See Horton, Nathan. Still love him though and wouldn't mind keeping him around at a friendly price!

I don't know the extent of his back surgery last year but he claimed he was 100% at camp. I do understand your thinking here. I don't think he'll get more than 3.5 per on a new contract and I would do 4 years.
