amazing what happens when they play him with talented guys, ehlers and perrault

that makes a decent second line

- homiedclown

Luke Adam played well with Vanek and Pomminville. Is Armia creating or is he benefiting?

2 points in 2 games isn't enough to say that he's the missing piece. Come on now. You want to say Compher or Lemiux fine but Armia?
- Zschalberg

gringo, armia, max, skunk, moulson, etc, etc, etc

if you want them to produce, they need top 6 minutes

none of these players are grinders, I am amazed how many coaches want talented players to come up, get a cup of coffee and be expected to play a game they never have had to play before

if you want a 4th line grinder, plug in a matt ellis or kaleta, not an armia or moulson

armia's very temperamental and his ceiling may only be as high as stafford

I hate to be that guy, but this is the exact reason why I hated throwing around so many picks/prospects in one year.

Joel Armia is all of the sudden playing very well, he could have been a piece used to add Drouin. Same with a few others.

- sbroads24

He had a goal at the beginning of the month, and a goal and an assist over the last two games. Lets see him do it for some kind of stretch before we say he is playing very well. He defenitely had the talent we seek for the top 6 though.

And lets be serious here, you dont hate being that guy

which is only good enough to be a second line player if you show up 90% of the time

when staff was focused he was damn good, problem is that only happened 30 games a year

Or he could be playing in our top 6...

Idk i get really mad when people talk about Armia. Calling him a bust ect. In reality hes a rookie. and he still has potential to be a good to very good player in this league.

First of all, hindsight is always 20/20.

Secondly, you can't sit on guys in hopes that some guy that you may really like becomes available, because it may never happen.

Thirdly, there's no guarantee that Drouin comes in here and makes this team any better than the guys they could potentially ship out to get him.

This could be said about any trade made

I hear ya, homie...I remember bakes saying that armia can really kick it in when he's pissed, and he did...but those occasions were too few and far between

This is true.

Obviously Armia needs to play more to be considered a decent NHL'er. I just really would love to add a Drouin caliber talent to this team.

Exactly, which is why I'm getting annoyed hearing about how great Drouin is and how we should trade for him.

Bingo.

He makes Vanek look like a guy that actually cares more often than not, and we all know that's not the Vanek we all watched play.

It's not hard to get a guy like that off their game. They're never going to be the guy that puts a team on their back and wills them to win a playoff series or anything like that.

I know you said you don't like him, but the one thing that can't be denied is his talent.

At 20 years old it's totally up in the air how it turns out. I for one would have loved to have the ammo to get him

No doubt. I am a true Armia believer. And I will defend him until he is out of this league. He has so much skill its crazy. I do think that the injuries/concussions have slowed his progress into the NHL and maybe they have discouraged him as well. I do agree that consistency is his biggest issue but it looks like this is finally his time to prove whether he belongs in the NHL. So we will see

If you like porters Geneesee has a salted Carmel porter that is delicious. And Saranac just put out a S"mores porter. It's not amazing but good and different. Go Sabres. 3-2 Buff.
- BatFan88

I love that you're diggin on the Genny, my friend, but the Salted Caramel Porter???

There is ONE BEER - ONE - that a Genny man drinks at this time of year, and it comes with a pretty little goat on there.
