If that is the cost for drouin, it is no wonder he hasnt been moved yet.

Two no doubt NHLers that may have not found there exact role yet, for a likely NHLer that will either succeed or fail at the only role he is able to play.

One or the other, and maybe a pick. I would still be on the fence.

It's either a combination of two players like Girgensons and Pysyk, or it is somebody like Reinhart.

Sounds delectable. Wish I could get it here in Tampa. Have to settle for some Cigar City or 7venth Sun.

I love Cigar City, it's hard to get up here though unfortunately.

Someone might pay it and when they do I hope it's not us. I'd love to have him on the team, but if that was the cost I'd say thanks but no thanks.

Staying the course is looking more and more like the right plan imo. If anything go for that top 4 D man but that's as much as I'd do. I know, D hasn't been our crux this year. But I want our top 4 set for the years to come and a quality player to pair with Risto would be a big step in that direction.

If the kyle turris situation is a comparable it wont cost that much. I think it takes more than a prospect and a pick, but no way he is getting traded for two young NHLers.

I love Saranac, I love porters, but I strongly dislike that porter. They made it taste awful.

What you all SHOULD be going after is Saranac's Caramel Porter. It's one of my favorite porters, top 10 beers hands down.

Best brewery I know is Maine Beer Co. Right outside of Freeport Maine about a half hour from Portland. You can find some of their stuff at Primier if your lucky. Their IPA called Lunch is probably a top 3 beer in my book. All their stuff is good though.

Again people are way overstating that Drouin has bust value.

Girgensons PPG - .35
Reinhart PPG - .375
Drouin PPG - .45

I understand that people dont like him, but lets not act like he has very little chance to make it.

Interesting take on the Drouin situation. I am not sure if I am late to the party on this one.

I would prefer to stay the course. I would also like to aquire a talent like drouin if it doesnt involve our 1st round pick this season. I just cant believe it would take that much to get a player who will probably never play for tampa bay again.

Let yzerman wait it out, if he gets what he wants good for him, it better not be from us. The longer drouin sits the more his value drops.

I think he makes it, my point was he isnt a guy that will be sliding up and down the lineup where needed. Seems he will either be a top 6 scoring winger or nothing. While players like pysyk and moreso girgensons are young and undefined, they are most defenitely going to be in the NHL for their careers.

I would do girgensons and add something, but not another young NHL player.

I have a girgensons jersey

DC wants everyone home by 3 pm today. They don't want any unnecessary travel there after that time, so it makes sense.

Anyone hear anything about Ennis and how he's progressing as far as his injury? Any chance we see him right after the All-Star game?

They've been fairly quiet with injuries this year but extra quiet with ennis for some reason

I hated that the NHL basically catered to them. What made the most sense at the time would have been to just move either Columbus or Nashville into the southeast division and leave the rest of it alone.

The Hawks/Wings rivalry being split up is a travesty, IMO.

The way they have it now, every team located in the Eastern Time Zone is in the Eastern Conference. Everybody else is in the West.

Good read. On one hand i have to think if the lightning brass believed they were better with him in the lineup he would be in. On the other hand with their cap problems getting closer it would make some sense to push his contract back if he is in their long term plans.

Cup runs dont come around often though, and if they are on that path now and he helps i cant imagine them forfeiting an option to make the team better for one extra year of restricted free agency.

Yeap. And now everyone says they are overreacting. No one is ever happy.

the nation weather service just issued a winter weather advisory starting at 6PM tonight. People are thinking about leaving the office now.

Granted it has been raining for 3 days straight here and everything is flooded and is going to turn to ice, but still.

I hate to be that guy, but this is the exact reason why I hated throwing around so many picks/prospects in one year.

Joel Armia is all of the sudden playing very well, he could have been a piece used to add Drouin. Same with a few others.

2 points in 2 games isn't enough to say that he's the missing piece. Come on now. You want to say Compher or Lemiux fine but Armia?

that makes a decent second line

First of all, hindsight is always 20/20.

Secondly, you can't sit on guys in hopes that some guy that you may really like becomes available, because it may never happen.

Thirdly, there's no guarantee that Drouin comes in here and makes this team any better than the guys they could potentially ship out to get him.
