Who is JSaq? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Jsaq. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone and starts posting as MJL.

RE Weal. the kid may very well never amount to much on the NHL level. I don't know. what I do know is a lineup with Gagner, VDV, White and Umberger is slow. what I do know is those players have played a combined 130 games and have scored 8 goals and 25 points. why not give the kid a look? Can it be much worse than the bottom 6 now?

I was a big supporter of bringing white back but man he has been mad of late and worse, is taking bad penalty after bad penalty. Maybe its time he takes a seat.

The Flyers aren't deep enough to lose any of the top 5 forwards but if they lose Coots or Giroux for any length of time they are a top 3 pick waiting to happen.

Last night, the top two lines and the top defense pairing is why the Flyers lost the game. And the PK
- MJL

gotta say when you are throwing out the 2 bottom lines the Flyers have, it really does help the opposition stop or slow down the top 2 lines not to mention having to double shift guys because you need to shorten the bench. good teams can run out 4 lines that can put up some points. I do think Laughton and Read should be able to put up some points with a better option on LW.

The Pens have the same issues with the bottom 6 that the Flyers do. Giroux's season ES ice time average is 15:25. He played 16:52 at ES last night. A difference of 1:27. It's 2-3 shifts, not a big deal.

white might be trying too hard but he also took a dumb retaliatory penalty we've seen giroux take those penalties why single out white

I like advanced stats too, but too many people on this board can't form an opinion about a game without checking them first.

Very lame.

- EMJAYEL

I'm a stats geek.....a part of my job is about stats....that said, the whole advanced stats stuff gets on my very last nerve. AS doesn't tell if a player is good or not good. sorry there are so many factors. the eye test tells me the bottom 6 needs a big upgrade if the Flyers want to be a consisten playoff team...period

and guess what? the Pens are also a borderline playoff team WITH Malkin and Crosby with the lack of a good bottom 6

AS is great for baseball; not as good for hockey/football/basketball because there are far more moving parts and inter-dependencies. AS is a fine tool to supplement analysis of those players, but should not replace or even out-weigh the good old-fashioned analysis.
