Not to mention the goal disparity when the two are on the ice is 70-30% in Coots' favor. Malkin's Corsi metrics are real solid against Cooter but you gotta remember that the vast majority of zone starts between those two are in the Philly zone.

I think Couturier is a good player that is plenty capable of matching up against top centers. However, the prevailing opinion that Malkin was/is shutdown by him is completely untrue.

Sure...but this is what always happens when u play the nbc flyers....u get called for everything. .body checking...and then you have play even softer because ull get called for everything. Both calls were bad...flyer skates into coles ice and attempts to.pick him...instead cole engages and down buddy goes....also clear trip on tanger lead to that first goal..no call...and dont even on the daley call.

Roster wise something needs to be done. Can't generate anything right now except penalties.
