I can't be the only one that hates the nickname for players poop. It's one thing if you know them personally or something, but throwing out random as nickname for players like "Philbo" and "shags" for people you don't know annoys the poop out of me. Seems very try hard to me, and annoys me so bad.

See if you were in Australia, your name would be Dinky or Dinker! Has nothing to do with hockey or teams. We usually have nicknames for most people.
I really can't see your point on how I'm trying to 'fit in', & couldn't really give a poop if you like it or not!
In a professional environment first names usually remain that way - is HB a professional environment??
