So what you're saying is you'd be ok right now with just trading Girgensons for a 1st round pick?
- HonkFortheGoose

If we can get a guy who we believe will mesh in out top 6 and feel that zemgus is never gonna crack a scoring line thats the only way id trade him.

Maybe to a team that is desperate for a center.

larsson makes him expendable IMO, if he is not a top 6 player

I'd trade Larsson before I'd trade Girgensons.

He's been in the top 6 this season. Bylsma really likes him. I'm fairly certain that Murray has also mentioned he's a big fan. I don't realistically see them moving him any time soon unless Murray is absolutely blown away with the offer.

This draft class? Depending on the team he is going to.... yes. Yes, i would.

Edit: And i love girgs and the role he plays as the shut down guy. And i do not want him traded, but am i mad if that happens? No.

and you will get back 10 cents, as opposed to a dollar

if your not getting back a legit top 6 winger, or top pair d man, no reason to trade gus

if I could only have 30 seconds inside murray's head

I expected him to be a force on the pk and much better offensive production

None. I want nothing to do with trading Girgensons.

If it's for the Oilers first rounder (because he asked who we'd trade) yes I would. I love Girgs, and what he brings. But if he's not in the top 6 role (which you would get from the Oilers first rounder) even if he's the best 3rd line center in the league, he can be replaced IMO. That said, I know that they don't do that deal.

I'm not about to go rummaging through the advanced stats, but when Girgensons went down the first time, Bylsma said that losing him made it hard for O'Reilly because he did have to use him in that role.

Obviously things have moved around a bit even since then, but Girgensons has had to deal with shutting down the top line of the opposition plenty this season.

- HonkFortheGoose

Girgensons is very good at what he does, but in the future (maybe even next season) Eichel is going to be the go to #1 center, and O'Reilly will probably shift a little towards more of a shut down #2.

I think guys like Schaller and Larsson could potentially hold down the other 2 center spots.

I think I would take the gamble on Drouin for Girgs

I'm in Nebraska and for some (frank)in reason all of the Avs games are blackout on Gamecenter for me... missed lastnights game.
- Sabre_Tooth

I can't believe the NHL LOST a class action suit on this, but continue to do it.
I would suggest the Roku/Gamecenter setup as well, but definitely make sure you're outside of the blackout range before you sign up. Because the NHL only considers refund requests "in writing."
And I'm sure refunds are given exactly never.

You need to check your facts before being Sarcastic. Has played 7 games in the last 14 days. Perhaps he watches away game on TV . Plus he is a Tampa Bay fan . So how many Tampa Bay games with Drouin has he seen?

I think you do bud. Hes played in 3 home games in syracuse like I said. Ive seen plenty of him and I have followed his career enough to know hes very talented.

I agree that girgenson is great at winning puck battles and doing the little things that make us tough to play against. His value is more than goals but he needs to produce more

I'm glad for him but for his health he should have stayed unsigned.

But maybe someone knows more than you ? This gentleman might have the inside info . You are too quick to dismiss others. This Gentleman seems to imply there is more going on than us mortals see.

Are you a scout or a member of an NHL teams staff that you have seen so much of this player?

Larsson isn't Girgensons, but if O'Reilly and Larsson are there then I'll agree. I'll say I don't want to trade him, but I've gotten to the point where if we get a good deal for him I'm good with it instead of him being an untouchable.

If only he was doing the job he is now and still putting the puck in the net.

That's the deal I'd rather do. Get that defenseman and let's get our forward in the draft/Free agency

Stunningly our Offense is ranked worse than the defense this year.

Off - 27th in GF/GM
Def - 16th in GA/GM

Eberle works for me. Oil need a gritty center with skill more than another streaky winger.

Another piece to Drouin puzzle: was sent down 38 games into season. Won't get an accrued season unless on an active roster for 2 more games.
