He'd fit in Lucic spot

He shoots RH Centre. He is a first line player. Do you tell Hank shove over? I can't see Sedins speed favouring Stamkos.

Except the fact that tuition to an Ivy league school is like $50KUSD/year

Pavel at least showed up for a few years. Kane is a prck off the ice, but shows up. Ho-Sang got what he deserves and will hopefully learn something. It would be great if Yzerman just lets Drouin rot. Tell teams he has no intention of trading him at this point.

Showed up for a few years? you mean got all the icetime he wanted and still managed to be a disliked player because of his arrogance? I agree. He did show up. He doesn't defect to play in A, I'll tell you that. Same with many russian/euro players. The fact is, the guys who are respected for being great guys are few. Jeff Carter's, both Kane's and Drouin's more common all the time. Look at Mike Richards, when he was drafted he was the character guy, future Captain blah blah and turned into an arrogant party boy. The fame and money gets to these guys, it's a new era and it's the same in every sport - talent trumps.

Either way he didn't want to be on the Flames.

We should probably stop cheering for him #badcharacter

No, talent only trumps when they've shown at the highest level that their talent is legit. It's one thing to be a diva when you've scored at a PPG pace at the AHL level or more and the team that drafted you won't give you a shot. It's a whole other thing to not even show even half your talent and then refuse to play in the AHL because you don't want to get hurt. That's just being a really bad teammate and no team is going to want that in their dressing room. All those players you mentioned didn't actually go diva until they actually earned their playing time/contracts. Pavel had 2 seasons of 50 goals or more and Quinn started to play hardball with him on contract negotiations because at that point the Griffiths were trying to sell the team and didn't have the money to pay Pavel what he wanted.

Drouin isn't partying as far as I know. He isn't doing coke. He's not assaulting people on the street I get it. I get it that the guys you mention have not shown a good deal of character in their everyday life. I do have some issue with that, but in this example, I don't care. Kane shows up for his team. Carter and Richards have done their bit for their teams. Drouin is barely out of puberty and has proven nothing, but has the nerve to walk out and abandon his team. That's the issue because hockey is a team game and guys like this destroy teams.

Baer-Bo-Stam would be a deadly line IMO.

That's a lot of money for a first line 24.2 mil.

He's playing cards with the other scratches. Stamkos has gone on record about how much he works his ass off.

40 points in 90 games before your 20 and with limited icetime is a bit of a sign. I do see what you are saying, but would still trade for him in a heartbeat.

I would love that line but would Stamkos want to be second line RHW instead of 1C

My favourite is the character assassination of a guy that's not happy with making 70K vs 900K because his trade request went public.

I'm pretty sure everyone posting here would be fine with that paycut.

Stamkos would probably move over due to Bo's faceoff%. The Sedins would probably love it if they didn't have to do 75% of the scoring.
