It was either 05-06 I was at the Leafs game and there were maybe 4 or 5 games left in the season and the Leafs had been out of it for maybe a month and we were well on our way to the playoffs and the Leafs were pulling bullpoop all game long and finally with about 7 or 8 minutes left Peters was out on the ice, and after a whistle he gestured to the Leaf bench and mimicked a golf swing. It was priceless, all the Leafs flew to their feet and were up in arms about it. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure he was fined for that.

I'm glad I ended up going to that one. A bunch of friends and I got mini packs that year and we were going to go to an earlier Leafs game, but it was sold out, and we really didn't want to go to that one because it was an afternoon game, but we ended up getting better seats for the same price so we said what the hell.

They were way higher caliber than anything we had. And they were both in the league a few years already.

They were both 22 already and well on there way . Great turnaround . finished 4th in their division hit a semi hot streak in the payoffs till they hit Pittsburgh . Your right the Sabres suck and we have no hope. Changed coaches actually about 10 games into the previous season . So not similar .

Word is no , He is a nice guy and did not encourage this crap . Sort of sad . Now Montreal sent him to the AHL . Some speculate that the league orchestrated the whole trade just for this result.
