Hey, I was pretty close. Right score, but it was regulation and not shootout. Had 2 correct scorers although McGinn scored in regulation, not the shootout. And Vanek.

Never played hockey, perhaps I can encourage my kids to play (tough call being here in SC), but damn....it's such a BASIC concept and it's so frustrating to see it not happen.

Could get a fluke goal, a fluke deflection by the defenders, a juicy rebound...so many possibilities - all better than getting into a corner and losing the puck

I felt like a lot of the goals against WPG were like that….second chances, rebounds, etc.
Garbage goals are still goals, right?

Sure counts on the scoreboard. It may cause petty arguments between crazy fans (all of us on this site) because some people are known to score that type of goal, so somehow many think they're lesser players...but hell, I'll take the tally on the scoreboard any way possible!

It's a good sign that you can win 2 games in a row not solely on the back of Eichel or O'Reilly

Myers had a really stupid and dirty hit tonight on Wingels, kind of glad he's no longer a Sabre. He must be learning from Byfuglien. Lol

They have gotten good goaltending the last two games. Along with some secondary scoring. I wont be suprised if they go on a little run here or at some point, they have been in many games this season.

I would still prefer to finish towards the bottom and pick in the top 5. Get lucky and pick 1 or 2.

I saw that. We obviously lost Pronger 2.0 in that trade.

Why are the wins NOT quality?

The Jets were .500 at the time we played, and Minnesota sits 5th in the West.

I don't get what it takes to satisfy people on this board.

I can't really remember what they call it but I think it's like ... Secondary scoring.

It was fun to watch them score 3 times in the first period. I don't think they'd done that all season.

Holy Smokes.....I know I continue to lump the Sabres, Leafs, Yotes and other poor teams in with the Oilers, but that team is baaaaaaad. Anyone else see that loaf they pinched on the ice last night?
It's unfathamable how terrible that team is still managing to be.

Sad part is Oulers fans be all like ' just wait till McDavid comes back'

Good win last night. I know it was dicey at the end but that's ok. We're learning how to win. Also, we were playing the team that has the 2nd most points in the last calendar year.

That said... something doesn't appear right with the Wild. Probably too many vets on the wrong side of 28. It was sad to see Pommer drop off of a cliff the way he has.
