Pretty sure I just did....even if he made 2 mil a season I'd trade him. There's nothing about his game I like or trust. Rather have a Dana murzyn type and just leave him by our net to push people around. Atleast he would do it. No fly past like Edler does...

I was thinking the same thing. If you had to crunch the cap numbers, I rather spend on a 5 mil 2nd pairing dman than two 2.5 mil 4th line wingers.

But I might have that wrong, WD might consider them on the 3rd line.

Up until recently, I hadn't seen anything to really biatch about when it comes to Edler this season. for the right return, I'd move just about anyone.

yeah, agreed. Both he and tanev would make a much more effective shutdown #2 pair then #1 pair. You Edler haters love to ignore stats, the fact is he is consistently solid, and if deployed for 22-24 minutes a night behind some better guys that can take on leadership roles he would be excellent as some guys handle having more responsibility better than others. The fact is teams get less shots when he is on the ice and he makes much more nice passes than the blunders you love to point out so much. Haters keep hating though.

Worst plus minus player in the entire league a season ago....worst dman on the ice last night. Not physical...at all not a good passer can't get his shot on net. Turnover champ slow in the head...makings of a real champ alright! I live with it just fine...you guys wonder why the defense is so bad, yet refuse to acknowledge it when it's staring you right in the -56 face ! Keep dreaming of edlers potential, and keep the excuses coming when he never delivers on it.

I take it he doesn't like Edler. I think he is saying you can find two scrubs to replace him. If he played like last night more would agree.

I don't think he is saying you will find two top Dmen for that salary.

When Edler got injured last time someone stepped in and kept it status quo in his absence.

Edler doesn't play like a top guy so I can see what he is hinting at.

You're right he had an awful year under torts, there were a few others guys that did the same... as far as career numbers go, he is a solid defenseman. This year has been pretty good, imagine if you guys only posted about him after a good game.... We would be talking about him much more I think.

Hutton is a liability right now, to think he is ready for top minutes next year seems a bit of a stretch. I'm all for him learning and growing in this lineup, but let's not get crazy here. The fact is, right now Edler is much more effective than Hammer. I want it to not be the case, cause Hammer is just a great guy IMO, but it is.

Points aside, when defenders have a good game, the other team doesn't score... that's about it. It's not real flashy, and it doesn't look great.
