Really? And I escaped without a ban? Surprising.

yes that is strange...maybe they saw you were trying hard not to be demeaning, and that you were just trying to have a thoughtful conversation.

Nothing wrong with thoughtful (provoking) conversation that puts out (snarky) intelligent viewpoints that help to raise the level (to the lowest common denominator) of people's understanding (or none) of hockey and the Canucks. May we all be courteous to those who do not share our views (and ridicule them mercilessly) and make HockeyBuzz a pillar of internet discussion (and flame wars).

I just finished watching Sicario. The world is cold and humourless.

I just finished watching it as well. I concur. Damn good movie, though.

I just finished 6 of 10 making a murderer. Not sure the hype for this. Pretty sad what goes on south of the border.

if Yandel isnt defensively solid and quiet in playoffs why would we want him?

vatanen hs been good in playoffs though

but at this point I'll try anything

- SMBDragon

Same reason we'd want big buff, Lucic, Ladd, Stamkos etc. ...
We'll have money to burn, with the contacts in place, to sign a pair of high end players or one star player and one tier down impact player.

That being said, if we get the big Russian (Ty) as a RHD 6 or 7 on the depth chart, would you want to pick up Lucic and yandle to 5.5m x 7 or Stamkos to 10.5m x 7 or buff 7m x 5 Ladd 6m x 7

Personally, I'd do Lucic and yandle combo. If we don't resign Hamhuis, vrabata etc..., next year burr and Higgins will come off the payroll etc... we will have 15 million of cap space to play with. Entry level contacts for the next 3- 5 years are to fill those spots held by vets, the twins are off the payroll in 2 years, that's another 15 million to sign a great player.
When That second 15m comes of of thebooks it will be the time to add a superstar and possibly trade yandle and Lucic when and as needed to pay the kids who have earned a raise.
This would provide for competitiveness next year and for the following 4 years after which you would need to trade some players(asset management ).
Extend markstrom 3m x 3 or 3.5 x 4

Play some damn hockey! !!!!

I would be most afraid of big buff add I feel he will be big country reeves untradable in 2 years when you would want to cut bait. Yandle isn't the same type of player but paired with a safe player like Tanev he could put up some offense. Ty and Peden would provide size as the bottom pairing as soon as next year.

That's my thoughts.

Edler and vrabata traded for Hamonic.

All right, I'm ready for it. ....

I'm a late adopter. I still have an iPhone 4s, which works perfectly fine, I didn't read The DaVinci Code until 2009 and I still haven't seen the movie Titanic. I think I'll wait a few years before watching this murderer thingy.

It just gets worse and worse.
Very good documentary on how corrupt the system is. The hype is because the vast majority of the plebs believe the authorities would never stoop to tampering or planting evidence. The system is rotten, more people in jail in the west due to poor education and the war on drugs.

The fact the the officers who falsely had him locked up for 18 years had information that he was innocent and didn't act on them. The same officers who were subject to a civil suit worth 36 million at the time of his framing 'found' extra evidence at key point s during the investigation makes it even more evident and raw for those of us that believe blindly in the authorities.

Upgrade your phone. Spend money on things you use every day. Phone, bed, car, shoes, underwear, socks.

iPhone 4 is way too far out of date. New phone every 2 years is a must.

I'm still wearing my same underwear from grade 12, I'm a cheap mofo

Great bed, mid 1990's Ford Truck, I just love it, can't part with it.

But yes, I'm due for an upgrade. I just spent a whack of money on education though, so tough to justify a new phone etc right now.

I've never seen Top Gun, Footloose, or Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Some people of my generation find that amazing.

I haven't seen those either, actually. Or any of the Back to the Future movies. And I've never seen a Micheal Jackson music video.

My wife had never seen top gun. Year and a half ago we have our son 2 months early. It was the only movie in the room they put us in. Anyways watched it during the 13 hr pre labor. That night we had him. With danger zone running through my wife's head. . Lol.
The next day she told told me that it was the most homo erotic movie ever.

Anyways, it's late so I'm out.

I have yet to consume pot that gave me hallucinations. But seeing aliens would definitely add a whole new angle to the experience. Especially while out in the woods... while swinging an axe... while hallucinating.

Fun.

Lack never should have been waived and Corrado was our best option in net! Benning doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

It's got to be Fire in the Sky if you're going out to the woodshed. You'd never recover.

I watched that movie in the theatre while on a first date. It was not a banner moment for me. There was not a second date.
