anyone watch the video about what got the sedins mad? There was a clip in there from Luo about "they have 60 minutes to fight one of our guys, no point doing it after the game". I didnt see the post game video posted anywhere of the full footage. Thought it was a bit weak for Luo to say something about that when I imagine whatever was said earlier was pretty classless.

At the time of that interview I don't believe he knew the whole story.

Is because he has the most points out of all our defensman? yeah I guess that's true, does that make him bad?
Also, if you look at more interesting metric than +/-, and by interesting I mean relevant to the position of defence, Edler leads the team in corsi, despite playing against top-lines.
This is the second time I've defended Edler like this on this thread, for the record.
what's that 2-3 games out of 40? The guy plays 26-27 minutes a night and we do not have anyone else close to capable of carrying that load, frankly I think he's holding together pretty well for a guy who is not a #1 d-man.

years ago there was a canuck coach who said after the game since his player was getting questioned by media for his 3 mistakes....(may have been sopel).. "he played 24 minutes....every player makes errors or gets stripped of the puck, the more the ice time the more mistakes. Only 3 mistakes in 24 minutes of play is actually very good player."

That perspective makes perfect sense. Edler does play huge minutes, him being in offensive situations also sets him up for being in positions where he would be blamed for stuff happening.....if you want an offensive D this is also what happens.

I think hes getting blamed way too often un necessarily. Like luongo often did and didnt deserve.

Sure Id rather have someone else in front of the net....but otherwise, our issues on D are widespread....but Edler is getting all the focus with his top minutes

Brendan Dillon and Andrew Ladd just had a little bru-ha in the Jets vs Sharks game, two guys I wish we had.

It is exciting to see the shape of the team forming. Say goodbye to the old guys. We are wondering where to put our current lineup, plus we have about 5 players very close on the Comets , plus Boeser Demko Tryamkin and this years pick.

Add the fact that we have money available and a very good young goalie.

Quiet in here now. Mid afternoons

ASL chopping wood

Lefty napping or watching porn then napping.

Cuban Buffet out picking up wine for tonight.

Scooby at the hairdresser.

Marwood too stoned.

Bloated over in Leaf thread.

Kaptaan defending the world

I'm conducting a neighbourhood by neighbourhood search for a particular bottle. Every time I pass a wine merchant/liquor store I pop in. No one has it, but it seems like it would be rude not to buy something.

I've thought this about Buff too, truth is he bring the offense and would be our first imposing physical presence since Jovo. Edler is a better position guy, so they may make quite the pair. I personally think Buff s the way to go, just based on our needs, but I'm curious what others think as he clearly has some D-ficencies.

I do like him and may add to the team well. BUT while we still yet have no D system in place any player coming in risks getting the SUCKS label in short order due to playing in this kaos called a D. We need a reworked and refined system 1st. Its why everyone on D sucks the last few years

No one has said a word about Yandle. Point producer, 29 yrs old , not solid on D . Quiet in the playoffs, doesn't want to sign in NY again.

Pierre LeBrun: "I've covered this league for 21 years. Don't know if I've met 2 classier guys in the entire game" than the Sedins." #Canucks

LeBrun on Sedins: "It just angers me. I'm tired of what the twins have had to put up w/ during their careers." #Canucks

LeBrun: "The lack of respect that has happened for the twins over the years, I think, is appalling. And it really pisses me off." #Canucks

LeBrun: If Vrbata goes on the trade market, it would really surprise me if #Habs didn't at least call #Canucks to see what it would take.

Vatanen from the ducks cant agree to extension ....Heard it was due to cap issues.

He's 24 RHD and Finnish. Seems the D studs come from there these days. He;s been really good for the ducks.
Perhaps this is the guy to pursue. Ducks are said to want scoring....vrbatta + ????
Trade value goes down on a guy who cant reach settlement

Thailand, her and her husband are dentists. He's Australian and Thai and she's Canadian and Thai, nice mix. She wants me to help her get her Canadian Passport, I told her she had a Canadian Passport when she was 3 and she should ask her Mother or Grandmother what happened to it. A lot of screaming over the phone and her Mom tells her she doesn't have her birth certificate either. So I went to the bank, opened my safety deposit box and took out her birth certificate that I've had since she was 3, wrapped it up and gave it to her as a present, she's pretty happy. Passport office tomorrow.

I am very happy she wants to be Canadian and I know how much that will bug her Grandmother.
