We picked him up over the summer, he wasn't resigned by Philly. I don't what his deal is but his numbers are pretty darn good in the AHL. Big question mark why Philly let him walk and a big one for us too why we don't give this kid a serious look.

Watching him in preseason, he looked weak. Not to say I'm some scout guru, but it's a size vs balance thing. Enzo is as small as he is, but has amazing balance and is very solid. Akeson seems just as small, but without this great base. He was pushed off a lot of pucks. I like the signing, he should get a chance over Schaller IMO (not due to Schaller's play but merely his own in the A) but I don't see him ever being more than a fringe bottom 6 guy. Again, I'm not a scout and 53 pts in 50 some odd games in the A last year for the phantoms is very good.

Yeah, we are the second to last placed team by a point, we can't score, and we're desperate need of a scoring winger on this team, but yet, absolutely no mention anywhere of bring this kid up to give him a look. he's played in 15 NHL games, he has 1 goal and 1 assist. the scoring will not come from inserting him into the lineup. he could develop to a higher rate that 1 n 1 every 15, but it isn't like we'd be adding in a 20 goal scorer by any means.

Of course he won't be the catalyst this team needs, but when was the last time he was up in the show? Maybe it's time to reward the kid for doing so well at the AHL level. I'm a believer in giving the AHL kids a game or two up in the NHL to let them see first hand of what it will take to make it at this level. I believe it could be a highly beneficial motivating factor. It's not like he do any worse than Molson
