They lost to a Canadian University in pre-season. That is never a good thing.
- Stripes77

when I chatted with him this summer he came off as a really humble guy with a very optimistic outlook...has the work ethic of his father, a man who showed up every day and gave it his all...

like the make-up, am liking his stats and his growth...said he went back to rpi because he thought the team could make some noise

Whatever other GM or GM's did this, are just as spineless to me as Murray.
Only talking about him because he is sadly the GM for a hockey team that I have cheered for since their inception, the more recent and perhaps the most smugly deliberately open about it.
Yea, takes a real genius to do what Murray did, boy oh boy he sure does deserve a feather in that cap.

might want to consider throwing Arizona in the mix as well...murray outmaneuvered dan "the desert fox" Maloney in that tank battle

Ennis isn't a bad start, but after trading Johansen I think they'll be looking for centers.
- chilliard77

Ennis was/is a center. I believe he was drafted as a center and has been more productive at center if my memory is correct.

Also liked Flynn. Glad to see him on a good team but wish he could have a role here
- yen6d1

I only tuned in to the Winter Classic briefly, but found it funny when Flynn assisted on a Byron goal.

I'm not even sure what his natural position is anymore lol. I remember his center years, but he hasn't played center in about 2 years. I'd call him a winger at this point.

Correct, the problem is he doesn't have the body type to be a center in the NHL IMO.

Will know more after this weekend. I believe he starts playing in ROC over the weekend.

And Kasdorf (sp?) was one of the best looking netminders during/at prospect game/camp iirc.

I was at the prospect game and he looked very solid.

Don't hate the player hate the game.
- Pope of Pucks

Totally agree with this statement. Tim knew he had to bottom out to get the top talent. I don't blame him one bit.

As far as the NHL draft, they should have left it as it was. This new system gives me a headache.

You pretty much have to be open about it, most NHL fans are smart enough to figure out what their team is doing and why they are doing it. I guess next time he will spell it out a little better for you

He is not prototype center, but does have the IQ and skill to make it work when he puts it all together.

Yea, we won't ever agree on this.
I don't like/respect Murray and I do not think that he is a very good GM and I guess that pretty well sums it up.
I know in the end, sometime soon I will be right about him if not already.
His lopsided losing deals will eventually mound up like the steaming poop pile he is.
I won't mention another word about how bad Murray sucks until Lehner flops on his face.
I'm done for now.

See ya when Lehner flops

The IQ has me wondering with his play this season.

He has the make up inside to know he is going to take a beating in the corners and still does it anyway. I had hope for him turning into a Briere-lite, but lately he has been a Max 2.0 and that's not a good thing.

Murray likes his bigger bodied goalies...

He should be in the mix in Rochester next year.

Brandon Gormley (COL) on waivers.

I'd take a chance on this guy, lefty, 23 years old, 6'2", former 13th overall pick. Never really got a fair shot with Ari or Col.
