Pass. We don't need another lost soul floater on this team. We need leaders with their heads on straight ready to lead, score and win.

Something has to be up. Teams just dont waive 23 year old D-men like that.
- ImThatGuy

Considering the suckage at the bottom of the Sabres d-lines, can he really hurt though? I'd take a shot, dump Weber or Coloasowoaocosovo on waivers and roll with it.

this is interesting

"Waiving him may also be an attempt to clear a contract after claiming Bodnarchuk. Colorado’s hands are tied a bit in regards to making a move to pursue the playoffs. They currently have the league maximum number of contracts, 50. "

If i remember correctly from GMTM, Usually there's a reason a player's on waivers
- yen6d1

Good players end up on waivers early in their careers. Not saying Gormley is a diamond in the rough but Mike Hoffman and Jason Pommenville were once put on waivers...

Did the answer to the question really matter then? If it's someone on waivers, chances are they're no leader.

Just remember, there are exceptions to every rule.

Not saying that he's one of them, but I don't think it's right to say at this point in time that he's not, either.

I'm gonna guess a team like Philly who just unloaded Schenn and put Ghostibere on IR claims him

Just looking at the standings is doing an injustice to the team overall, IMO. Do I wish we were higher up? Sure. But my eyeballs tell me this team is much more sound than it was last year. Consistency is the issue. They had consistency last year, they were consistently awful. This year they're all over the map.

no clue why mcdonald is in the ahl for them, plenty of cap space and he is fine as a 3/4 d man

Did he get hurt last night? I watched most of the 1st 2 periods and then turned in for the night, but he was in their lineup last night.

A "lot less" prospects is a stretch, and also short-sighted.

He has also traded FOR how many picks to add back to that count of prospects?

Since the 14/15 pre-season:

Players Out: 13 (5 "prospects" - Armia, Lemieux, Compher, Grigorenko, Zadorov)
Picks Out: 5

Players In: 13 (2 "prospects" - Kasdorf and Lehner)
Picks In: 5

A net loss of 3 young players basically - Lemieux shouldn't really count because he wasn't going to be a Sabre anyways.

I can't see him getting past the bottom 5 teams, unless off the ice he has said/done something to get himself blackballed

Can you really compare the 7th rounder, 2nd in 2017, and 5th for Flynn to the 31st, 21st, and 25th pick?

Gotta love the Lemieux situation. He's pissed he doesn't get drafted in the first round. So we pick him first in the second round, so let's reward that team by never playing for them even though every other team passed up on me already.
