The difference is....

are you just saying

"it comes with time and he is a rookie who needs to learn the ropes"

OR

"He is underachieving.. he is not an elite caliber player.. and he can/should be traded"?

- JVince11

I'm saying the first ... also, FWIW, he still needs to bulk up more. He's gettting pushed of pucks and losing alot of puck battles.

But, Importantly, I'll repeat: I WOULD NOT MOVE HIM.

Probably not. Would have to really clean out the cupboards if so.

I think that either one would require at least Pysyk/McCabe and a pick. Probably more like a bad contract.

I would kind of think that maybe we could take Filppula's bad contract from TBL and use him on the wing more. That way it is not just a complete throw away sitting in the press box like Carle would be.

THIS is where problems arise in communicating...he said what he said, and you're looking for clarification on any underlying meaning (that part is fine). Too often things are getting overblown.

Poster A: "Reinhart was bad last night"

Poster B Option1: "He's a F*@&(in Bust man!! Murray never should have drafted him!!!@!"
Poster B Option 2: "He's been awful lately, he should be in Rochester"
Poster B Option 3: "He's still better than X!!"

Obviously there are many more options, but the reality is, someone merely said a player was bad/good/whatever and other posters interpret it some way or another and things explode.

Stafford 2 goals last night, Myers an assist.

I know, I know, they suck, Kane and Bogosian are awesome.

Kane's shooting percentage this year is brutal, yet he's still on pace for around 22g
If it was around his norm, he'd be on pace for over 30g easily
I doubt ppl would be complaining as much then
Obv not a perfect player,
But he's also scoring more then quite a few guys that you'd consider pretty good players

I think you're judging a lot of these guys too harshly, too soon

- jdfitz77

Kane is also playing some of the most minutes for a forward in the NHL. Having 13 points is pretty sub par considering.

The petition on whitehouse.gov got the needed 100k signatures to pardon steve avery so now the president has to address the issue. He cannot pardon him becuase it was not a federal case but he can tell the gov. The guy is innocent for sure. He needs to get out and be put in witness protection. To stay away from all those sheriffs lol

The show is just unreal.

The way that first rape case was handled was disgusting.

They wanted to solve it for the media they pinned it on him early and never gave up even though most of the police force said it was not him. Then in the second case, 2 of the Jurors were related to the sheriffs from the first case. Its crazy how they get away with that kind of stuff. And i am curious to see what the whitehouse says about it now that they have to address the issue with getting the needed signatures on the petition.

He may be playing some of the most minutes, but he's certainly not being smart about how he is playing during those minutes.

Here's an article basically saying the opposite.

I don't think he's a Norris trophy caliber defensemen, but the quotes from Maurice seem to dispute the notion he's an inconsistent #4

If you counted just half of the times he hit the post as actual goals... he'd be at 30 points already.

Just has to find his groove. He did only play half of last season and missed games this season too.

Benn and Seguin were benched last night in the Dallas blowout loss...

I bet their "fans" are chasing them with pitchforks and torches lately too.

I had and still have high hopes for him. He has half a season to start to put it together. Come October I want these kinks worked out. If they aren't by then I'm going to start walking over to the side of him not being good at all.

I read that article this morning too. I think they sat the last 10 or 12 minutes of the 3rd and never saw the ice again.

Do we have the assets to get one of them and keep the 1st? Tampa is in our division, do they want to trade him to someone they'll play multiple times a year? (Not that the division matters anymore since we barely play our division "Rivals" anymore)

McCabe is a decent player but Drouin has that upside. Ennis, McCabe, 2nd for Carle and Drouin? I don't know if that gets it done. Would Eberle go for something similar?

Of the two, which would you rather have?

I'm not one of a fan of shaking lines every 5 games like Blysma is doing either. I have ot imagine that is detrimental.

I don't know how much of a comparison it is but when playing college football.. if one of my fellow offensive linemen was out or not playing.. we were a completely different machine.

You had to get a grasp on what their mind is going ot tell them to do in certain situations. Will they fan.. do they like to cut block.. do they leave a double team early to get to a LB.. do they typically have square shoulders or do I need to hook plant behind them more..

I'd have to imagine all of those things come into play in hockey as well... when ROR or Eichel or Skunk are in this area of the ice.. do they like to pass more.. do they like to center.. will they dangle and look for a cross ice.. when on the boards do they fight out or are they looking to pass.. when on the forecheck will they be aggressive or will they wait for their spot and stick lift or poke check.. where should I be for an outlet.

I can't imagine doing that with new people every stinking week. If the plan is to have everyone comfortable iwth everyone.. that is going to take even longer.
