IMO yes. He's a 3rd line C but he's good at what he does. He might not score the goals but he helps you win games. I expect the cap to continue to rise, especially if there are 2 teams added. Moulson's salary falls off and you have his. If he had stone hands and couldn't score at all I'd probably say no but he has shown he can net goals as well.

The problem I have with adding too many guys on D or top 6 through UFA is that most of them are just plugs until you can get your own guy in there. There is a reason why they are UFAs... either they are over the hill or inflated salaries are making it hard to manage your young up and comers coming off of ELCs.

With that in mind... on D...

Goligoski, Boyle, Nikitin, hamhuis, Quincey, Coburn, L. Schenn, Gunnarsson, Grossman, Medvedev, Yandle, Demers, Clitsome, Bartowski are what will be out there in 2016.

He has been solid. Team has let him down when he has played with leaving wide open players or just not clearing the puck out. I do not put that on him at all. I like that way he is progressing. I hope he kills it in the A but aren't we a little crowded down there in net? Curios to see how that works itself out.
