I get it Mike I really do.
Murray has not done one thing to earn my respect when it comes to commanding respect from me with him as even an average NHL General Manager.
In fact he has done more to bury any respect deeper.
When he earns it, he will get it.
It's how life is supposed to be lived, at least its how I live mine and how my Brady Bunch lives it.
Respect is not handed out like candy, its earned and Murray has not even remotely earned mine yet.

Gotta pay your dues
If you wanna sing the blues
And you know it don't come easy
You don't have to shout
Or leap about.

That's poetry.

I get what you say from a general manager's perspective...however, imo, he should be given a lot of slack as he's still new to this...even jimmy devellano who built the wings into one of the most respected organizations in all of sports, had his troubles early on...

murray comes from a scouting background and he's one of the best in the business...can he turn into one of the best gm's?...

imo, too early to tell

George co-wrote it, and I always liked him better than Ringo.

Mike, all I can say is that he gets what he deserves.
He will certainly get accolades and respect from me when he merits them.
That's the easy part.

George is my favorite. McCartney may be the best musician, and Lennon may have changed the world, but George's songs always seemed the most passionate.

Apparently drouin requested a trade in November. Situation reminds me of niederreiter with the isles. Let's hope the ask is the same and TM is all over that.

I ran a half ads analysis yesterday w numbers I could find without a lot of looking. It's in yesterday's thread. I'm no stat guy - it's all Greek to me - and the numbers were really rough, but I think the measurement I was ultimately heading toward was something like SOG/60. I don't know if that's a real stat.

If there's any accuracy and reliability in my numbers Gionta and Larsson are the real albatrosses around the team's neck. As much grief as Moulson takes, he is in the middle of a big pack of weak secondary scorers.

the eye-test tells us Gionta isn't what he used to be...Larsson's not scoring but is agitating well...he should really be on the fourth line

and...

just finished Harrington's article...says that the team is overmatched and that the gm needs to fix it..."waiting for the summer is unacceptable"

can somebody please tell my why roster deficiencies need to be addressed now?...especially when the price for acquiring players will be real high at this time of year?

Well harrington is somewhat of an idiot. But to answer your question IMO i think people just were so blown away by the activity in the offseason/kane trade and they expected this team to be in the playoffs this year for some reason.

I never expected that, and i see tons of improvement from this team. And i agree with bylsma when he says alot of the times they are right there and just need to learn to close it and get over the hump.

I think you're confused, the avs don't acquire great talent, they give them away In all seriousness I think he ends up out west, just not sure it will be Colorado. Don't the Lightning want D help?
