I am old, and I recognize it. I know many of you are much much younger, so I ask this question to see how uptight I am compared to lots of you other people.

I have a couple of partners that flip houses and own rental properties. We're looking for our next project, and have been viewing a lot of 4 and 5 apartment properties, getting the landlord's permission to walk through the apartments.

The tenants all know that we're coming like a day or two ahead of time, and clean up the apartments to make them look pretty good. These are like $900 to $1500 per month places, usually with two to four roommates.

I can't believe the number of apartments we go through that have BONGS and weed wide out in the open.

Do people just not give a poop anymore about dope? Of course I had my own bong, once, and of course I smoked - alot - but I never made it obvious when "real grownups" were going to be around.

Am I crazy?

I guess it would bother me as well

I couldn't care less what you do as long as you don't trash my property and pay your rent on time

That being said if you know I'm coming by at least make an attempt to keep it on the dl

I am 32 and I rented out my house for a year when I moved south.

How old are your tenants? I'm 21 years old and I at least made somewhat of an effort to make sure any type of paraphernalia of the sort was out of sight.

I would assume that you have some kids that haven't grown up with a proper teaching of respect.

I would never rent, if given the choice

I'd rather flip the house and be done with it

Its become more "accepted" if that makes any sense. I don't know if it's specifically just this generation or because government/law makers of relaxed on their war on drugs but it's no longer the big deal it once was. Like if you walked into someone's apartment and saw a pack of plain old cigarettes you wouldn't really give it a second thought, that's what it's like to my generation with weed.

Eichel and Reinhart will get much better I agree. But guys like Risto or Pysyk probably won't get too much better.
- sbroads24

I think Risotalinen will get better. How much better is up for debate.

I think Pysyk will always be what he is, and that is a very good thing.

The biggest question for me is how much better will Girgensons get, and what is his ultimate ceiling?

With pot becoming more and more accepted, the care level of people my age to conceal that aspect of their life is pretty small. I have older parents who taught me different values than what a lot of kids get these days.

That's what it was like in our college residences when it was just other kids around, but people put the stuff away for their parents or landlords.

We went through one 3 BR apt at 1,150/mo where all three tenants were laying in bed at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, and the dank was heavy in one kids' room even with the window open. He must have been high as hell.

I was going to say something similar to this, but youd empty your ash tray right? Kind of the same if you drank a bunch. I dont think anyone is leaving a half empty 30 pack and quarter bottle of jack on the coffee table when they are expecting.

Maybe one difference is if you have a nice bong it can actually be a solid table piece

possibly. or german. i will say that i looked at doubles in kenmore for about a year before just buying a single. looked at somewhere between 50-100 houses. the owner occupied houses usually had one decent apartment and one that was more banged up. the straight rentals were train wrecks. the few that were actually kept up were going for more than they appraised for ( i would say more than market value but that begs the question "what is market value?"). i guess my point is that they are just rentals.

Check Ustream and see if the game is being streamed there. All the Canada games have been and many of the other ones as well.

firstrowsports generally is my go to. If someone is hosting an NHLnet stream that is. I'm at work so it's blocked for me otherwise I'd link you to a working one

We're in Rochester, and focus on flipping tax foreclosures and renting in the Southwedge and Park Avenue. We look for rentals that appeal to mid-20s in their entry level jobs, that are pretty beat up, and then we spruce them up and price the rents at a levels that are a bit out of budget for the wild partiers.

That's why the prevalence of the bongs in these units now is surprising. We don't seem them in the properties that we own.
