Put the former coach of this franchise behind their bench and see if they accomplish that feat.
- buffalofan19

Honestly, they probably would. That team is stacked, and is unofficially coached by the players anyways.

Good thing delauries will probably have to fight a goon scrub who will probably be sent right back down after the game

If i were delauries i wouldnt fight him and try to draw a penalty. If wilson wants to talk make him do the walk.

Also, laata should shut the (frank) up, he comes off as a bigger female dog with every word he squeals

Pretty ironic if you read the comments from 10 months ago in this article. Also interesting the pole results.

Funny how all this bad luck keeps happening to him. Funny how trouble follows him around. Also interesting to see how many healthy scratches and how recent they are.

Eh give it some time. Having players new and old learn a system where they haven't played one in the last 2 and a half years is tough

I know I'm mostly kidding.

Although, he did catch a lot of heat in Pitt for not playing to offensive players strengths

He also rolled 2 lines and had zero depth. You can tell he wants to roll 4 lines as much as possible.

But I agree he needs to open it up a little bit. But then he has some very slow guys on the blue line

The general concensus during the Pat Kane issue was that even if he was innocent, he was a guy that just didn't seem to know how to stay out of trouble. I think the same can be said for Evander Kane as well. I realize what he has done for the community, but even the greatest of humanitarians not named Mother Teresa have their flaws. Can your elevated social status make you more of a target? Absolutely, but the majority of players seem to figure out how to stay out of trouble. Both Kanes haven't seemed to figure that out yet.

I also find it amusing that Kane didn't really have any off ice issues in Atlanta, only when sent to the Peg.

Before this of course and like I said in the last blog, we don't even know if he is accused of anything. It is an investigation, where the girl couldn't remember what happened. She went to the drs and they are mandated reporters of anything like this. So there has to be an investigation.

So far the only thing he is guilty of is cheating on his gf. Condone him for that if that's what you're (not specifically you buff) in to.

Yeah, but nobody can out skate a good pass. And then if we turn it over, the D-men are already close to our zone!

Kane is also last on the team in primary assists per 60.

Kane and Girgensons are having pretty bad offensive years. I'm actually pretty shocked it's been that bad

I agree, and the point about the elevated social status is not lost on me, but I think the salary they earn and the expectation that you are in the public eye and represent a city and a franchise are downplayed too much for these guys. This IMO is part of life for a celebrity athlete.

I personally think this is a money grab. I really don't think he is so evil to do anything so terrible. But, the memory thing worries me because it could indicate rohypnol, but being examined at the hospital so soon thereafter, I would think they could rule that out.

My problem with Kane isn't that I think he is a sexual assaulter, it is that he is a selfish immature person. He hasn't learned a lesson from his past problems, he is not growing up. He is not trying to be a leader he is coasting.

I know little about his night life, but I do know this... He hangs out downtown and is in Encore. I was told on Christmas when visiting my family, from a trusted source that is in a position to know these things, that he was out trashed at Encore after midnight on the eve of the Chicago Saturday matinee game two weeks ago.

I was pissed about this and was ready to lay into him, but I was banned for a few more days so couldn't. Then the news broke about these allegations, and I am just done with him.

He cares more about himself and his nightlife than he does about being his best for this team. This much is evident to me. And I don't want an influence like that around our younger impressionable players.

The fact that it is almost taboo to mention it, or to criticize Kane for creating this mess is really confusing. When the Pat Kane thing was happening everyone was allowed to say whatever they wanted.

And the fact that so many are ready to stand up for him, his antics and his lifestyle worries me about just how far societal standards have fallen.
