This right here. I was a roy basher and enjoyed taking shots at his off ice activities but it had everything to do with how he was ON the ice.

Kane is a likeable player on the ice. His numbers have been a little disappointing thus far but when you watch him its hard not to like what he provides from an on ice perspective. Other than shooting high and wide

Both are studs. i think we may have a better shot at Laine tho unless we are drafting top 3

And part of that problem is it's hard to teach offensive schemes that match things like the trap unless you've got the talent for it (how i feel about our powerplay most nights)

Good chance if you mapped this out all roads would lead back to the salary cap.

While the cap is part of it, the heavy handed coaching with their various defensive sysrtems which relies quite a bit on obstruction is the real problem because the obstruction and interference is being allowed.

I think Murray knew he was a risk.

I don't want to throw Kane under the bus and ban him from hockey, but this HAS to be a little bit troubling.

I find myself in this same position. I am not really torn, but if they dont find consistency it doesnt bother me to finish bottom 5 and hopefully win the lottery.

I think it does more for the future to get one more top 5 pick and use it to draft a player than any other option.
