I get his role, and it's important but he might finish rhe season with less than 10 points thats not acceptable.

The goal for Girgensons, I would hope, is to be a very good, possibly great, 2-way player, and not just a shutdown guy. He does need to start scoring a little bit more. However, I'm not sure there's a player on this team you can't say that for. Ryan O'Reilly is all I can think of.

After the game yesterday, it's clear to me that this team still lacks team speed. They aren't as slow as molasses like they were last year, but they need a couple more guys that can really move, particularly in Gionta's place.

Reinhart is getting knocked around at the level he did at the beginning of the year, and it was the direct reason Washington got its first goal.

They also need a bonafide sniper on the wing. Evander Kane isn't it.

- buffalofan19

Kane isn't a sniper, agreed...until his shot, if ever becomes far more accurate.
He's got speed and enough size to be effective along the wall, and beating guys to the puck. He could be a possession monster once he learns better shot selection and shot accuracy...can he though?
Reinhart needs more time to develop upper body strength. He was getting knocked around quite a bit last night...but his development thus far is amazing...playing an O'Reilly style game now; there is purpose in his game...and his skating has improved dramatically...the future is very bright for him if he continues to build his game.
Ennis has wheels, but has lost his purpose out there, continues to look lost, out of synch. He is the biggest disappointment to date.
If Ennis doesn't find his game...the I dare say we need two snipers...IMO.

It could be a matter of perception, or "confirmation bias" as you like to put it, but it seemed to me like Reinhart heard footsteps on that pass. He looked panicked to me.

The Ennis giveaway is another bad one. However, I'm not convinced he's 100%.

I hate to say it, but having watched the replay, I think the biggest culprit on the Ovechkin goal was ROR. While the mosh was going on along the boards, Ovi moved to the crease, and ROR didn't get back to mark him. When the Caps were able to center, Ovi was all by himself and ROR was 10 feet away (even worse, gliding).

I made it to the championship game because of David Johnson. I just won the championship with Fitz as my QB. Pretty awful, huh? Hopkins was pretty much my Ace all season. The Carolina D was solid for me all year as well.

It's a tough one. In a perfect world, you would like to see him bust his ass back at 175mph and take away the defender out front. However, that puck should have been out of the zone with a much crisper clearing attempt, and O'Reilly broke out of the zone in anticipation of that. I don't remember him gliding, but I'll take your word for it, and if so, that's disappointing. However, it is tougher than you think to get back after breaking out of the zone only to see the puck that should have been out, stop dead in its tracks. If he was gliding, then I would say both are equally at fault.

A Spanish magician owes money to a loan shark. The loan shark's henchmen corners him in an alleyway and tells the magician if he doesn't pay up, his legs will get broken.

The magician closes his eyes and says: "Uno, dos ..." Poof! He vanishes.

The henchman reports back to the loan shark and explains how the magician got away. He says: "I don't know how it happened. He vanished without a tres."

Like I said earlier, I'm not quite convinced Ennis is 100% healthy. If he is, I think he is struggling with the system the team is employing. Last year, he was allowed to free wheel and pretty much do whatever he wanted. On a team that had very little skill and even less expectation, that worked just fine. Now, he has a defined role out there, and I'm not sure he's adjusted to that.

He was on the WGR postgame and he admitted that when things aren't going well for him he has a tendency to not use his teammates and tries to do everything himself. The fact that he's aware of that is good, but now he needs to figure out how to not do that. I think he'll be fine, but he needs time to work through it. The injury didn't help because now he's behind the curve.

You are likely correct with the <100% thing...was the same for Bogo for a good amount after he returned....so I can accept that. The system thing by this point should be mute...get on with it, or get out if you can adjust...35 games for the team, what 20-25 games played for him a veteran...it is becoming alarming now.
Now with Lehner coming back shortly, we can anticipate a long adjustment period for him having lost nearly a complete season that has impacted his mental sharpness and physical conditioning. I can't wait to hear the over reaction upon his return...in his case, at that position he will need the remainder of the year to get it all back.

2 of my leagues I had L. Bell with first pick, hurt
2 of my league j. hill with second pick, bust

I waited on qbs, so in all 3 leagues the only qb's I had were cam, palmer, or bortles ( 2 on each team)

lucked out and got freeman on waiver wire for all 3 leagues, decent wr depth (cooks on all 3 teams)

arizona D 17 points first playoff game, 33 points this past sunday

I think I am going to up it to 5 money leagues since daily will probably not be around next season

If this is true, I'm even more concerned.
It doesn't bode well for him when the pressure is on then...in game 6 or 7 if that is his reaction. He needs to break that mentality immediately and almost over do the team play then.

as long as he is buried on the third line, I doubt the production will be any more then 20 points a season

with his talent, even if on third line he should be getting 17-18 minutes on most nights (second team pp, and pk time)

with his 2 way game, he really should be on the second line

My QB was supposed to be Luck. I ended up getting Dalton off waivers 2 weeks into the season and pretty much used him until he got hurt. Had to pick someone up and Fitz was the best available option.

My RBs were a mess all year. Foster and Hyde were supposed to be my guys. I had reluctantly drafted Doug Martin, but it ended up working out well. Picked Johnson up off waivers a few weeks ago.

My real point of strength was WR. Green, D. Thomas, Hopkins, and Cooper kept me in most games from week to week. Eifert at TE also was key.

ennis is not a kid anymore, he needs to realize the likes of mair and ellis are not his linemates and trust the other 2 on the ice with him

in many ways he is doing what max did, but at least max was buried on the 4th line with scrubs who already checked out of the nhl

eifert, that was a boom or bust each week

my guess is he won me 3 games alone on each team, but was a mess at the end when I had to stream ertz or miller

next year I am going to make sure I have a reed/walker type on my roster and someone else I can plug in if needed, carrying 1 TE the last half of the year didn't cut it for me

I ended up having to go with Ebron the last 2 weeks. I typically carry 2 TEs for most of the season, but with all the RB injuries and QB injuries I was scrambling at the end. Never thought that I'd win a Championship with Fitz as my QB though.

I support Evander Kane because I am pro cheating womanizers to whom it is more important to have a good night life, than it is to honor their commitment to their team to show up in the best condition possible for all their games and to not create distractions and miss practices due to avoidable circumstances.

If we only had 17 more skaters just like him.
