The only way Murray gets fired over this is if the team is terrible as well, which doesn't seem to be the case. Missing on some players is forgiveable. Missing on players who also happen to have character issues is harder to look past. It's way too early to determine if Kane is either (I don't think he is), but team and player performance is still the key issue in a GM's job, even if the player has trouble off the ice.

As far as the Swiss league compared to the AHL is concerned, it's apples and oranges. There is a melting pot of talent over there. There are players in these European leagues, including the Swiss, that are good enough for the NHL. There isn't a ton, and they aren't superstars, but there are some. They don't for a variety of reasons: location, playing time, and a select few might even make more money in this league than the NHL veteran minimum.

He said the league was, and I agree. It's not the KHL, it's not the SHL, or the Liiga.

The only reason he's playing there is because he plays for Marc Crawford, and it's more of a North American style league than the others. It's far from the best league in Europe, and is about on par or a little lower than the AHL in skill level.

Having said all that. It would've been close between Matthews and Eichel, but ultimately the Sabres go with Eichel, because he was playing against older players in the 21-22 year old range, albeit maybe not quite as skilled as those in the "O", and dominated them. Matthews will more than likely be a star in the NHL for many years.

If you havent seen arrested development, definitely wanna give that a chance- first 3 seasons anyways. Theres also 2 british shows that are on there; luther with idris elba, and the fall with gillian anderson (it takes place in belfast which i guess id call british). They are not too much of a commitment as each season is only a few episodes, more like a miniseries. Have not seen f is for family, next time i want a sitcom ill have a look.

Luther is a phenomenal show that not enough people here know about. I haven't seen The Fall, but I've heard that's also a great show.

Its hard to pass up on a top 5 foward, if it comes to that. I could see us doing what we did last year. Get a top 6 foward and then spend the next few picks on dmen.
