He is being dog housed by Torts for sure, but there is little to suggest he would be better than Monahan, though I agree he is better than Bennett TODAY.

Just don't see the Flames moving a defenseman for him, and the only deal that makes sense IMO involves Bennett and I think Flames brass likes the kids tenacity and touch, so I just don't see a deal.

Now, if the Flames could pull some effing magic out of their azz and deal Hudler, Poirier + to get him, then we're talking. But that is fantasyland

If Calgary offered Bennett straight up Columbus should jump all over it. Not sure why Calgary would be so hot & heavy on Johansen. But the guy that's cheap & seems to have caught the eye of the Jackets is Russell, yeah add Backlund & you may have to add Kylington or Andersen. Just not sure why we would want Johansen.
