Not saying he is the future, but seeing what johnson has done in goal the past month makes it sting even more. I dont care for him much but he proves why if you dont have an elite goalie its not hard to find adequate goaltenting.

Legwands value to this team at this time might be a little understated, but it still doesnt make it worth it to send that 1st rounder away.

And if you have a good team in front of the goalie it generally makes them look better.

If this goaltending thing doesn't work out Nejdelkovic could take up acting. Some kinda sell job there

Yea, im still willing to give lehner a chance but its thin ice for me. I thought he was the future for ottawa a few years ago but at this point it seems to inevitably be a lost season for him.

Kind of sloppy game overall but that ndelkovic played a very good game in net. If he can play like that and make big timely stops the US is lookin pretty good. They turned it up late in the game offensively.

im not singling out one player as the issue, im pointing out the difference in depth.

what's the deal with Borgen? 4th rounder 92nd overall. I tend to only watch the 1st and 2nd round guys because they are the ones that make it...how's he looking for those that can't watch today or view St Cloud games?

good defensively all year. Started slow offensively, 9 pts in his last 12 college games. I like his chances, though it's still early days (very McCabe like career so far).

In this tournament it is a year to year evaluation for me, not really about who could be there but isnt. Unless its a player who was playing and maybe got injured for the rest of the tournament. Imagine if the US had eichel, larkin, and hanafin though. Might have been as stacked as canada was last year.

Just made the observation that canada is nowhere near the level offensively this year compared to last.
