Jack is not playing tonight.

Preliminary reports suggest that Jack was too lazy to make the trip.

Might be some truth to this story....

They were talking poorly about his choice to miss his first game back to Boston...but the Lion does not concern itself with the opinions of the sheep.

Besides Matthews and Debrincat, who are the other draft eligible kids I should be keeping an eye on?

For us in particular I'd look at Gauthier and Krys. They've been projected all over the 1st round, as high as top 10 and as low as 20's so this tourney could be make or break for them.

Oh and there's Tkachuk if you fancy us winning one of the the three lottery spots.

i'll add in Stepan Falkovsky playing for Belarus (if anything just to give you a reason to watch Belarus)...

6'7", 225 lb. left-handed defenseman piqued the interest of usa today's kyle woodlief who said falkovsky "moves stunningly well for such a behemoth, and is hyper aggressive at the offensive end, where he’s constantly pushing the attack and forcing the play at the blue line"

Yea i read about him earlier this morning, i was just going with the notables from the can-usa game.

DDM is right though, it's very likely one of those two fins piques Murray's interest. They fit what he's looking for, Puljujarvi more so than Laine but both are very talented.

Edit: Could be for not, im still convinced they trade the pick unless it's top 5.

Laine is awesome, been watching their game this morning. Hes not the best skater but for a big guy (6'4?) he has some really solid soft hands, he had this toe drag move to get to the front of the net that blew my mind

Puljujarvi is just a beast, solid skating, good hands, power forward.

The knock on him has been his "inconsistency". It's unlikely after moving on from Armia that Murray takes that chance/patience on that kind of player.

And they're not Russian, so Murray should be good with that.

I like the aforementioned Gauthier should be available wherever the Sabres might pick outside the top-10...big, beefy winger with 29 goals in 30 games for val-d'or

he will be late pick, 10-12 range, if hes there you have to take him, hes got all world skill but yeah I have read that about him as well, he needs more time, but luckily he can go straight to the AHL, won't take him long to develop

gr just mentioned that Moulson gets an extended break and will be watching from the press box

Probably not a bad idea considering who we're playing. If i had to chose between him or Foligno against the bruins, i'd go with Foligno. at least he's gonna hit back.

Oh at 10-12 absolutely, but at 6 or 7 you have to really think about whether you're up for taking that risk.

Juolevi might be of interest as well.
