The Sabres have only sold out two games this year?

And only 4 have eclipsed the old 18,690 mark.

That doesn't completely surprise me... they got pretty good turn out during 2 years of absolutely terrible hockey and to reward us they raised prices. Going to have to "suffer" a bit on sales till the product on ice is back up to snuff

Hi Jero-

Non-sequitr wrestling gifs aren't welcome here. Feel free to contribute something but cut out the shtick. I'm done cleaning up, next time I'll just give myself a break for a few days.

Thanks.

Slow day...

What do the Sabres need to do to have a successful season to you?

Finish over .500? Close to playoffs? Playoffs?

Or is it more individual? If Samson and Jack both get 15-20 goals or more is that considered a success?

Well, there's successful and then there's better. They need to be better - so close to .500 is acceptable there. Successful = playoffs to me, and that would be gravy.

I agree if we finish close to .500 ill be content, 8th or 9th would be great and i think would be considered "overachieving"

My bare bones standard would be completely escaping the finishing last conversation.

I just like being able to genuinely root for the team again. That's success enough for me. [Still believe we make the playoffs this year after a very solid January/February.]

It was pretty dry having to be satisfied with individual performances or singular "nice plays."

They're 14-16-4 so .500 is attainable if they can string together some wins. Need to get some more scoring if they want it. Sabres are 27th in GF and 17th in GA. The teams with less goals? Philly, Pittsburgh, and Anaheim.

Eichel/Reinhart get rookie passes for me. I don't expect playoffs so individually is how I'm looking at this team.

That's still up the in air right now... I'm supposed to be back next Wednesday to bring the car back (I can change that) and my house sitter is getting her teeth pulled that Thursday so she can't stay here after... I doubt I'll still be in NY for NYE I guess.

It's harder for me to look individually at anyone other than them since I don't know who will be here long term. ROR, Kane, Sam, Jack, Risto are the definites. McGinn, Girgs, Bogo, Gorges, Ennis, Lehner, Ullmark, Pysyk, McCabe are the probablys. Anyone else is eh.

Judging those in the probably section is more for evaluating who I want to keep in the future. If they were all great I'd say success in finding the team but other than that it's who can we keep and who can we get rid of.

With Risto turning the corner big time and being a legit #1 d man, and the goalies still being in the top 16 in goals allowed per game

this team should be much better than where we are right now IMO

That's unreal to me. 4 of maybe the top 15-20 players play on those 2 teams
