I definitely want to see more secondary scoring as I think that's the achilles heel of this team right now. If the top guys aren't getting it done, we're getting nothing from anywhere else with the exception of Risto on the back end. That needs to change. We need the D contributing a bit more and we need our bottom 6 to be chipping in as well. - HonkFortheGoose
I know the answer is most likely "new system"….or "any system" for that matter, but I'm a bit surprised that Zemgus could pot a few as our #1 center last year, but not this year. And of course, if his new duties are to shut down the other teams top line, then why aren't the other lines scoring against lesser talent?
Its admirable that Girgensons has to be the shutdown guy and does his job well, but that should make some of the other lines hustle a little more to score. I think we're about 2 goals per game away from being the 06-07 team. We just NEED to score 3-4 goals a game the way we're playing now and we would be looking at a vastly different stat sheet.
Not being negative. Still enjoying watching this team WAAAAAAAY more than last year. I also missed the Anaheim game due to travel. Need to get on gamecenter and watch that one. Saw the first 2 periods of the hawks in a hotel room and then listened to the last with my phone cutting in and out in the middle of the mojave desert….
Defensively he's been great. Offensively he's been invisible.
Like you have said this team lacks secondary scoring.
Regardless of the role he plays he should be contributing. Same goes for any of the forwards - sbroads24
It just shows that we are not there yet, there needs to be some serious upgrades to the 3rd and 4th lines. If we want Girgs to play centre and be productive, we need to upgrade the talent around him.
The team is moving in the right direction, but the overall talent level just isn't there yet.

Wifes uncle owns some funeral homes across the country, and almost all of them locally. He has Studio seats in the 200 (personally my favorite, table at the glass next to Brad May) and then the 116 ones. Those are good as well almost center ice and row 12 is perfect!
