right now the Bills would get the 16th pick

it's dec 21st and I am hoping for them to lose both games, fins to win both and the bills to end up with a top 10 pick and 4th place schedule for 2016

Honestly that's the best case scenario. Too many people want to beat the Jets. Start EJ, rest McCoy, and other than that just keep doing what you're doing.

The 4th place finish would be an extra benefit that I didn't even remember

EDIT: Do we know what division we would play next year? When does that get decided?

Yeah I saw it

special effects great
plot very very good

new actors/characters average at best

I wonder how hard the contract negotiations were for Mark Hamill

I've actually seen it twice (my little brother begged me to take him yesterday). I liked it better the 2nd time I saw it.

To me it seemed "safe", but it set up the next two in a way that they could be absolutely great.

I also thought it tried a little too hard to be funny at times.

It was definitely safe in the story department, which was fine. You hit the nail on the head about the setup. Left it pretty open for them to do whatever they want with VIII. Hopefully they use the same level of detail and practical effects after seeing the positive reaction for them in this movie.

I am biting my lip on the whole story but...................

the wookie grin on the "chess" scene was priceless

Everything Mario Williams said all season is right.

If change works, fine, but when it dont, its on the person who made the change. Name on thing Rex did that improved the team over last year

You got me.

I hope that's not what Pegula was trying to do. I don't think it was.

Samson, O'Reilly, Ristolainen and even McGinn have by far been the best Sabres players to this point.

Honorable mention to Chad Johnson and even Josh Gorges whom I myself have been particularly critical of in the past.

His rebound control sucks.

His success is a product of far improved defense in front of him. They clean up alot of messes that he leaves out there.

I've said for a few years that Pegula has been amazing at putting a bad product out there and having people pay for it. With the buildup after he bought the team and the terrible first year, the tank the next few years after, the Bills with a worse record than the year before. Yet season tickets for both the Bills and the Sabres didn't falter.

True, there were other circumstances. But if you look at it that way, he's been selling poop for the price of gold and we're buying

Eichel is a dynamic talent but I think he needs to develop a higher compete/battle level. I don't want to call him a floater, bc that would be a bit harsh. Though, with his skills and size, if he dialed the intensity up a notch, he would be damn near unstoppable. Also, Ristolainen is a stud. Wasn't that high stick for the 5v3 on Saturday his first penalty of the year?? With the 25 minutes a night he is playing, that is very impressive.

A fresh unbiased outsiders point of view.

Brad May has said these same sorts of things just recently and I have been saying it even longer than that.

I think its a fair assessment.

Are we watching the same team? We usually give up a lot of quality chances every game (especially recently) and he has been nails. If you take out the Montreal game his numbers are elite this year.

There are at least 5 dead pucks in the blue ice - or within 18 inches of it - every time he plays. The D has gotten very good at clearing those out of there.

Randall P. MacMurphy?

I'll probably miss it. My brother will be in town for the Holidays and we usually get pretty tore up. This year he's coming over to watch the game Saturday afternoon, and then me, him and our old man will head down to the basement for a booze and board game marathon. We'll start with a classic old German game, Malfitz, and then start playing RISK - that usually winds up around 2:00am with drunken accusations of cheating or dishonorable strategy, and then an brief fistfight between two of us with the third one trying to break it up. Pops can always be expected to throw a few uppercuts if he can't control the Australian Continent. He's 74 now. My kid has has asked if he can play yet, but he's only 14. We're gonna make him wait til next year. You know, with the booze and all.

The blessings of family at the holidays.

I have "Cuckoo's Nest" on DVD, though, together with a whole "making of" package and all of that crap. As a matter of fact, my brother gave me that package for Christmas a few years ago just before we got all tore up that year.

PS. I don't have a facebook.

I think we forget at how difficult it is stopping tough shots. I've actually thought that he is pretty good at not giving up rebounds (not unlike Miller). I think what has really surprised me is how calm he is in the net - it seems like he doesn't waste any motion. Then again, it might be the contrast when compared with Ullmark.

More speculation on how we could be a good bet to get Stamkos. Did 89 or any of the other insiders ever mention how close we got to acquiring him?

he's already peaked

I'll pass

that would be unreal to obtain him as UFA giving up no assets

No, what you are seeing is right.

I played in between the pipes for my entire youth in many organized leagues.

Chad's rebound control has been very good, he allows some but then again, so does every net minder especially when they are screened on the initial shot.

And yes, he is very very calm in the nets. I like it !

Chad has been a very pleasant surprise to say the least.

He's only 25?

I was surprised to see he was still that young, I myself thought he was older.

Depends on what we would be giving up of course to acquire him.

At 25, i'd love to have him.

the already peaked part was a joke

I'd love to have him as a sabre, hate to see him leave the bolts though
