Because WD can't see how useless he is and JB isn't willing to dump his ass down to Utica

That is interesting, we should grab him and sit his ass in the press box, just to make a point. Don't know what point though.

seriously though, if he has his act together, I'd prefer him over Umberger, just because he is ufa at the end of the season... but if he is on waivers, maybe he doesn't have his act together.

Looks like he isn't very productive this season, http://rangers.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8468526 , he might just fit in on this club.

It depends what JBs plans are. If you are going after a playoff spot ( 2 pts out) you take him, if you are tanking , leave him alone

Why is everyone trying to fix things? We are losing, it's part of the plan. We don't need quick band aid fixes, we need losses, and lots of them.

Tied for most losses in the league.

4 points out of first overall pick...
Things are looking good with Oilers and flames playing well. Ducks are bound to turn it around. Just need to battle it out with canes jackets and Sabres.

I was only looking at Schenn because he was on my list this summer to offer a contract

If we picked up Stoll, I'd send McCann to the wjc and maybe back to jr after.

People say going back to jr won't help these kids, not sure if that is true, thinking of Draisitl...

We debated on these boards two years ago about Sbisa , how he was garbage. Some flipped out and still haven't returned since then. Sbisa was by far better than the person Ryan Stanton who previously occupied the job

Last year we had the Brandon Sutter debates/saga. Once again heated debates that he wasn't enough of an upgrade over Nick Bonino for the difference of salary. Now everyone calling the teams lack of success because we miss Sutter

Here we go now with Yanick Weber being a better option than Luke Schenn. I don't know in what universe that would be true , but where was Weber last year in the playoffs when things got heated? Where was he this year against the Ducks when it got greasy ? Schenn would be a big improvement over the player currently occupying the spot.

I can't begin to tell you how much Milan Lucic would be an upgrade over Chris Higgins.

Making improvements is like pulling teeth

We are five points out of last and two points out of the playoffs. If by some chance we made the playoffs , I would rather have Schenn and Lucic on my roster over Weber and Higgins

- VANTEL

Weber Higgins Burrows Vrbata Hamhuis all need to go...gonna take some shrewd GM'ing tho...
We might need to give up the dream of Lucic coming to Van. LA said they will start negotiations with the Lucic camp soon and they will be aggressive...looks like they want to keep him.

Buff remains a possibility tho...

This road trip should put an end to any playoff hopes for the Canucks.

lol no doubt looks like the WC is coming out of the Central. Oilers will be ahead of us soon with Flames and Ducks knocking. Can't see us winning on the road in Minny this trip and the Philly game Thursday is a maybe 50/50. Gonna be double tough.

It's actually a good idea to send both back for the rest of the year

I don't think anyone is disputing that fact.
Weber is a POS, have despised his play since the moment he stepped on the ice wearing blue and green.

BUT, giving up valuable assets (J.Subban) for a marginal player such as Luke is not productive in my view.

Virtanen yes but I'm 50/50 on McCann right now. It's a tough one.

If they were going to put us into the playoffs, I could see the need to keep them. McCann is in the lineup because he is presently seen as the best option for the team, but he hasn't been pushing the play or anything and we are losing. We could lose just as well with him back in jr. (i'm agreeing and i like the little emoticons )

If we are going to tank it would be a good idea IMO. Send both to WJC then junior and lose the rest of the year.

Don't get me wrong I am all for #tanknation just looking like MNGT is happy with McCann where he is with Horvat Struggling and Sutter out til whenever.

I think Schenn would be more than marginal. At worst I think he would be a bottom pairing with grit. At max he would be second pairing.

What I like about him is he can do a little of everything. Our toughest Dman right now is Sbisa. LS would be an upgrade there. He has a better shot than Weber. Weber is a better skater.

With Subban it is all about the size. He would need to be excellent to crack the line up, not just good

If we continue to play the way we have been, it is a no brainer we will be losing the rest of the year.

5 of our 11 wins came in the first month of the season, and it wasn't even a full month of games... does the org have stock in a lipstick company?

When is Sutter expected to return and if he is out because of sports hernia surgery (I think that is what it was), what is the timetable for his return and how long will it be after that for him to be at 100%? Will there be enough time to get on a roll and get into the ______? can the team hold onto 3rd or 4th in the Pacific until Sutter is back?

JB has so much work to do.
